The hallmark of the GX Series of power supplies is that they feature a single, highly robust 12V rail that efficiently and consistently delivers clean power to all of your critical components such as your processor, drives, RAM, motherboard, and graphics cards.

An included double-layer EMI filter, intelligent 120mm controllable fan, and an active PFC/PWM combo controller all contribute to the overall efficiency of the power supply. All of the many features found within the GX Series contribute to its 80 Plus Certification. This efficiency allows the power supply to utilize most of the power it takes in with minimal waste, saving your electric bill. It makes the GX450W a perfect addition to a home theater PC or mid-range computer setup.

5 out of 5 eggsRock Solid Performer

Pros: Put this in a build and hooked it up and no problems plenty of connectors for growth seems to be a well built unit not cheap metals used like some others that you squeeze it and it leaves dent in case this much more betterer than that. Tested unit and all voltages within acceptable limits so not worried about it at all it seems a great PSU now hopefully it lasts for at least the next 5 years since that how long a computer good for

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy

Pros: Plenty of connections
Inexpensive with MIR
Efficient

Cons: None found

Other Thoughts: I understand the importance of power supply quality on many aspects of electronics, but I don't have the tools to judge this PSU beyond the qualitative: "It seems to work great!". This was the least expensive PSU which conformed to my interest in an ecologically friendly bronze certification, and 450W minimum. I have only built 5 computers so far, but I found this PSU to provide everything I needed with no unpleasant surprises in a very basic home-server/media/workstation role.
It is supplying:
M4A78 PLUS
AMD Athlon X2 3800+ overclocked 10%
4G RAM
4 HD
3 Optical Drives
ATI HD 5830

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Sleeved and good length cables make management a breeze

Cons: None for me but read on

Other Thoughts: This is not a power supply I would recommend to gamers or graphic designers, but that's a given from just reading its specs. It is however fantastic for everyday users or for pro audio which is what mine is being used for.really great value.i usually go modular with my builds but decided not to this time and I'm glad I did.saved some money, the cables are sleeved and long enough to make management a breeze. Building a new daw? This is the power supply for you.

1 out of 5 eggsCrapped out in less than a year

Pros: Looks nice...for a power supply.

Cons: Short life. Having to listen to my wife complain over and over about her computer not working.

Other Thoughts: Worked fine for about 10 months, but is voltage on all rails is now well outside of tolerances (+3.3V = 3.03, +12V = 13.44, -12V = -5.86, -5V = -1.99). Random system shutdowns from 15 seconds to 2-3 hours. Hopefully I just got unlucky with this one and this isn't a trend.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Over a year old and still good. Enough cables.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I installed it without issue and forgot about it. That's a good sign, right?

1 out of 5 eggsAn Early Grave

Pros: The unit looked nice in my case and the cable were bound well.

Cons: Died after 10 months. Started causing errors after 6. Not acceptable.

Other Thoughts: It worked well for about six months. After that I began to get random TDR (Time Detection Recovery) errors and black screens. This would be under minimal load with more than enough power for all my components. Tried removing graphics card, RAM, and updating/reinstalling drivers, but would still get intermittent errors. After another 4 months of head-scratching and trying every solution known to man the PSU died. At least I know now that it was the PSU all along. Placed a spare 300W unit in my PC and it fired right up. This was my first and last Cooler Master PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsSEEMS TO WORK GREAT

Pros: Replaced a customer's power supply with this in order for a better graphics card to be installed into a gaming rig... For the price aka sale price, it's awesome! Seems to be doing great with no issues so far...

Cons: none at this time.

Other Thoughts: If it's not on sale try to find one that is, as you can find similar if not better on sale regularly...

4 out of 5 eggsRebate recieved

Pros: I bought this power supply back in October of 2012 and it has been running fine since then on a media PC with 1 SSD, 3 HDs and 4 fans. MB is an Intel DH57JG with cooler master Hyper TX3.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I choose this power supply mainly because it was on special at the time $59.99 - $6.00 rebate and it also had a mail-in rebate of $15.00, which I'm happy to say arrived in the mail this yesterday after more than 4 months of waiting. I never trust mail-in rebates, but I thought I would give it a try anyways to see what would happen, so I'm glad I did. Only thing I know have to make sure is cashing in the check fast, as it is only valid for another 2 months.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works...

Pros: This psu does what it is meant to do and with no noise. There are plenty of cables to support everything that would use less than 450W. And the sticker on the side is pretty awesome looking

Cons: The connectors are super cheap and so is the sleeving. 3 of my sata connectors split down the middle and are now unusable. The design of the cables is bad with the right angle connector as well, the cables tear to easily...

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend this product, I will stick with seasonic and corsair for now on....
