Silent Pro hybrid 1050W is part of Cooler Master’s first fully modular power supply series with integrated dual 7V fan ports. It utilizes a single powerful +12V rail that operates at over 90% efficiency and carries an 80Plus Gold certification.

  • newegg Unique Technologies - Hybrid Transformer, Heat Transfer Technology & Hyper Path Specially designed Hybrid Transformer mounts with heat sink, with a size that was reduced by up to 25% than the traditional transformer, providing lesser energy consumption, while conducting the heat for better overall efficiency. “L” shaped heat sink layout helps to guide the air flow along the heat sink to improve the air circulation for maximum performance. Hyper Path, an exclusive hyper link between IC and the relative components, provides super efficient connection from the transformer to components. The signal can be transfer directly without any energy loss.
  • newegg Single Strong +12V Rail Single 12V Power Rail Tackling challenges from the most power-intensive peripherals head on, this solitary 12V power rail provides ample power and strong resistance to any overloading up to 82A.
  • newegg 80 PLUS Gold Certified The 80 PLUS Gold certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 87% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg Fully Modular Cable Design The modular cable design allows use of only the cables you need resulting in improved internal airflow and reduced system clutter.
  • newegg Silent Operation with Switchable Automatic / Manual mode The 135mm Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing fan delivers quieter operation, and the included fan speed controller allows you to control this 135mm fan and three system fans for efficient cooling. Two modes can be selected for the PSU fan with this controller: fanless mode when loading is under 200W, and manual mode for fan speed adjustment from 3V to 12V.
  • newegg Japan-Made Capacitors This power supply employs high quality capacitors protecting equipment from capacitor leakage problem, also increasing the life-span of your equipment, especially at high temperatures.

1 out of 5 eggsA Disappointment

Pros: The Fan controller was a cool concept would have been great to try it.

Cons: I had this power supply fail not once but three separate times taking out the motherboard and graphic cards with it. The first time I thought it was just a fluke so I upgraded the case gpu and board and gave it another try. Round two went the same way and I ended up having to rma all the new products. The third time showed promise Instead of a case I set the pc up on a piece of glass and tried again and while this time it booted up it only ran until the next power cycle.

Other Thoughts: It's a shame that this product turned out to be a lemon.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: Good power. Cables are black, which is nice. Lots of cables included to cover extra VGA power requirements.

Cons: Fan controller is a bit of a joke. Who really cares about controlling your PSU fan? Also, if you are buying a 1050W PSU, you are running some heavy hardware, and you are not going to mess with an add-on fan controller from your PSU company.

Other Thoughts: CM - love your products. This is no different. However, few tiny things to fix: 1. Paint it black. Nothing inside a case is grey. Make it black to match, you might as well. 2. Reduce the price $20 and keep your fan controller. This is a good accessory for a <600W PSU, not 1050. Other than those 2, a great PSU again from CM.

1 out of 5 eggsBlew EVERYTHING

Pros: None

Cons: It blew itself, my motherboard, disc drive, and hard drive. Newegg refunded it but not I'm out $500+ for a new mobo, disc drive, and hard drive, not to mention my computer has been down for almost 2 weeks now. I will not be buying Cooler Master products any more and I will be pushing my friends/family to go elsewhere for their products. All of my components were just over a year old and had no issues until I tried this PSU. This is why I'll be using OCZ PSU's from this point.

5 out of 5 eggsGlad to have gotten one while in stock/before discontinuation.

Pros: Quiet, price was right ($110 after rebate). It hasn't given me any problems thus far, albeit I'm still on day one. Comes with gobs of innocuous, black, modular cables including two dual 6/8 pins for quad SLI with two 590s/690s/whatever. Fan controller is a nice addition, however it's somewhat more *limited than I'd like.

Cons: *I knew when I bought it that only three fans could be controlled by the secondary dial, but more would have been nice (I'm trying to find a way to control four excaliburs with it). Not really a con, but more connection would be nice...

Other Thoughts: I'm glad to have gotten one while in stock (before discontinuation?) as the price/efficiency/output was just right and it's aesthetically pleasing to boot.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None

Cons: Plugged everything in and go to boot up. All I hear is a loud pop and nothing turns on. Put in my old PSU and computer will power up but has no video. Neither of my graphics cards are showing video including the one that wasn't attached when I put in the new PSU.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it, I should've just bought a new GPU instead of buying this so I could SLI my GTX 560's.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsWorking perfect here

Pros: One of the finest PSU I've ever owned. Strong, powerful and attractive (to a point!).

No issues, Fan Control front panel is slick, The 82A Single 12V Power Rail is the only way to go. So well built and features abound. I could go on all day about this little beast. (for the power and features this unit is quite small in physical size).

Strong unit and super warranty of 5 years.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Buy it now...then forget about it

Pros: Works excellent until failure, this is the first time that a power supply fail me, I have another cooler master power supply since 2008 and still working like a champ!

Cons: Did not last as expected, really expensive and just last 9 months

Other Thoughts: I hope it was a bad luck on this power supply or I will start looking for another brand to sastify my needs
