2 out of 5 eggsWorked great for a while

Pros: Quiet, modular

Cons: Stopped working after 2 months, RMA process takes a long time.

Other Thoughts: My freshly built PC has been down for 3 weeks because of this power supply. Will be another week or two before I get a new unit (assuming the online rep's description was not inaccurate). Took 4 days after arrival for the facility just to acknowledge receipt of the defective device (verified delivery through UPS). Some responsiveness would have been appreciated.

4 out of 5 eggsPCI-e Connector issues

Pros: Single 12v rail, 9-SATA connectors, Modular except for 24 pin MB and 4+4 CPU cables.

Cons: Comes with 2 PCI-e cables. Each cables has 1 8-pin and 1 6+2 connector. Would have rather seen 1 6+2 and 1 6-pin or 2 6+2 connectors. Minus 1 egg for the PCI-e cable plug configuration.

Other Thoughts: I use a single VGA card that has 2 6-pin PCI-e jacks, so I had to use both cables. If you have a 2 VGA card setup and both have 2 6-pin jacks, you will be (acronym can't use here) because the 8-pin plug will not fit in a 6-pin jack.

5 out of 5 eggsNo more high pitched noise

Pros: quite at idle and at load now

Cons: none, I wrote about a high pitched whine earlier

Other Thoughts: (must need a few days to "burn in")

3 out of 5 eggslow load high pitch whine

Pros: Very quiet under load (gaming). That's why I bought it based on several reviews.

Cons: Annoying high pitch noise when idle (surfing, ms office). Very disappointed, I could handle a little noise when gaming but when I'm working I expect the silence of silent pro2 and the premium price paid for it. There are too many quality psu vendors to pay a premium for a quite psu and not receive it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome value.

Pros: Amazing price, very very quiet. I was extremely surprised by this PSU. Had to make room in a build budget and needed to scale back on the fully modular 80+ Platinum PSU I had spec'd. After a lot of searching I found this modular 80+ jewel. It's incredibly quiet, and comes with a great assortment of cables, which are flat and made the build look amazing.

Cons: None yet.

3 out of 5 eggsNot so quiet

Pros: Provides power, modular cables

Cons: not quiet like it says it is.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU for a build for my home recording studio thinking it would be quiet. It's the loudest component. I compared it with another pc build that was running a diferent PSU and decided to switch them out.
