2 out of 5 eggsI bought 2 of these, good while they lasted

This review is from: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 - 1500W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Silver Certification and Semi-Modular Cables

Pros: Plenty of options for any PC build

Cons: I have two of these and they have both failed, one contaminated by the CoolerMaster Eisberg 240L Processor cooler I had and leaked all over the processor, video card Gigabyte Radeon 7990, ASRock Fatil1ty Motherboard X79 2011 socket 4 channel memory 32GB, and finally rested to the CoolerMaster Power Supply 1500 watts. Not happy with coolermaster and extremely upset over a product I "COMPLETELY TRUSTED" for over 10 years and be a person of destruction from a company that doesn't seem to take extra security to avoid such damage and obviously didn't use any "NON CONDUCTIVE" cooling agent is mortifying. I have been using "Liquid Cooling and NEVER had a leak or caused any damage in all the years I have been building any PC with or without liquid cooling without a "DOUBT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other just crapped out, that is why I bought 2, not to mention all the CoolerMaster cases I have used.

2 out of 5 eggsIffy

This review is from: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 - 1500W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Silver Certification and Semi-Modular Cables

Pros: When it works, it works exactly like it's supposed to.
Has plenty of plugs for multi-video card setups and the power to handle them.

Cons: It stopped working after about a week and a half of medium use.

Other Thoughts: This power supply (1500 watt version) requires a 16 amp circuit to function. While this may not be an issue for some, it would be prudent of a potential buyer to check his / her electrical to ensure it is safe to operate.

Currently, due to the failure of the device after less than two weeks of usage, I am only allowing a two star rating. I will update my review after I have spoken to Cooler Master about getting it replaced.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

This review is from: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 - 1500W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Silver Certification and Semi-Modular Cables

Pros: none

Cons: Hooked everything up in my case plugged it in the wall receptacle flipped the switch and nothing, no noise and no spinning fan nothing. First power supply DOA RMA that one for a replacement. No big deal just got a bad power supply. So I get the second power supply, hooked everything up in my case plugged it in the wall receptacle flipped the switch and nothing again no noise no spinning fan nothing!? Checked the wall receptacle that my PC will be plugged into and that works, getting more than enough juice to power this beast. Come on another DOA power supply from cooler master got a refund this time. Bad JuJu Cooler Master!

This review is from: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 - 1500W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Silver Certification and Semi-Modular Cables

Pros: whats to say its a power supply! buuuut it stays nice and cool and plenty of wattage for upgrades. modular makes it easy to not have unnecessary cables when not need. solid construction! i actually dropped this thing and it still worked when i got all my parts go figure. it was only 4 feet but still. worth every penny. sure its a 400 psu but i wont have to buy one for years to come at 1500 watts i have more power to spare than my microwave ha! runnin a simple gtx 660 but ill be upgrading to a new gtx 780 soon and im not worried if it will have enough power to supply my 8core fx-8350 with water cooling, 32g of ram 2 hard drives 1 ssd and 2 500gb hdd. basically what im saying this is future proof for sure!

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: 400 dollars for future proofing compared to psu's that you have to upgrade later....eh ill spend the cash for quality product.
