I brought one of these that when installed only powered the machine for 3 seconds, then would power down for 3 seconds and repeat until unplugged. Returned it for a replacement. The replacement does the same thing. Is this a common problem with this item?

Hi, Logan R, i haven't had that problem, my pc does that 3sec thing only when i turn the psu power switch off and on (or unplug the power cord), but stays on the second time around. Try powering another computer with that psu and see what happens, maybe something else is causing the problem.

The product size for the 550w is listed quite specifically, but the 750w version doesn't have a size in the tech specs. Is it the same size? If it isn't, what size is it? I need to make sure it fits in my case.

Aloha, Generally, the power supplies are sized to fit the cases. Unless noted, the critical measurements should be standard.. (Server power supplies vary in size but are all made to fit the standard they are designed to be used in.) Should be the same size, but do you need that much power? the 550 will run several hard drives and a DVD burner no problem.

What does Kaveri support mean? I'm building a system with an AMD A10-7850 Kaveri CPU. What advantages does your PSU have? Thanks.

It means that you can use it with Kaveri architecture chips. I am not familiar with AMD so I'm not sure if they pull more power or what But I would assume that they mean it is capable of powering Kaveri systems.

will this support the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard and how many sata and 4-pin molex connectors does it have? Thx

As far as i know, this psu will be compatible with that motherboard, regarding the number of connectors, it has 6 sata power connectors, 3 molex and 2 8pin pcie connectors

Is there any ketchup and mustard going on here, or are all the cables sleeved?

Non-Modular cables are colored but sleeved in a black mesh, modular cables are all black.
