Pros: - Worked fine but didn't last - A little noisy, high-pitched whine
Cons: - Power supply failed @ about 10 months old. I expected a longer life out of this unit. - The drive itself is OK though, works with a different PS/cable.
Other Thoughts: The unit abruptly stopped working at < 1 year old after fairly infrequent use (backup drive @ work.)
I swapped out a different power supply / cable from a different drive and it's working, but a replacement PS/cable is not that much less than just buying a new enclosure, unfortunately.

poor quality

Pros: was cheep when i got it, worked well for 4-6 months. looks ok, not that bad to install the drive into
Cons: i bought this enclosure almost exactly a year ago, and used it for windows image backups of my tablet. at first it worked fine, then it would start getting stuck doing these backups. so i just copied files as my backups. then it would start getting stuck with large file transfers. now it gets stuck with any reasonably sized transfer. if you listen to it, you can hear the hard drive spinning down, or half spinning down, or something. i suspect this problem is either because a dying ac adapter (which is too light to be of quality, and sometimes makes a high-pitched wine) or the fact that this enclosure does not provide the sata drive with 3.3V (orange wire) power along with 5V (red) and 12V (yellow).
Other Thoughts: i have the black colored version of this enclosure

Low quality, Low life

Pros: Easy installation and plug in. Nice and simple vertical stand.
Cons: HDD loosely falls into case, cheap materials and assembly. Quite fragile and breaks easily when dropped one foot high. Screws did not fasten well to the adapter.
Other Thoughts: This is a poor product from Rosewill. I have always been a fan of Rosewill's cases, webcam, and various laptop accessories. Not a good price for a simple product.
