Pros: Works as advertised and doesn't heat up using Seagate Barracuda 750 drives. Units delivered are solid black and do not resemble the one pictured here at all but they are fairly attractive and inconspicuous. Instantly recognized by Windows 7 when attached needing no drivers.

Cons: None for me....

Quick and Easy

Pros: Quick and easy to set up. Installed a 400GB Seagate Barracuda drive, Plugged it in, and it came right up. I did not even have to use the included driver CD since I use Windows XP. Data throughput seems to be reliable and quick.

Cons: Looks like the power/activity LED on the front of the unit has died after less than 2 hours of operation. It worked fine and then gradually faded out to nothing at all... I have not investigated this yet but I cant think of anything I could have done (operator error) to cause the light to fail...

Other Thoughts: The unit seems to get pretty warm, but I have never had another external HD case to compare it with. So I really have no basis of whether the level of heat is too excessive. There is no fan or place for a fan on this unit.
