5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for the money

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: I have used this in two builds, and it is still going strong. I took a chance on Rosewill and I am happy I did.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I will need to upgrade soon due to upgrading my Graphics card again, it will probably be a Rosewill.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat I needed

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Not modular.

Other Thoughts: Works for what I needed on my fathers older Dell. A replacement 375w from Dell was going to cost him $100. I was able to get this to fit in the Dell case with a little creativity and it works just as good for a fraction of the cost. I would recommend to anyone needing a basic PSU replacement.

2 out of 5 eggsPick a Different One

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: It works.

Cons: Sata connectors are very tight, dangerously tight.
You have to push in hard and you can break your HDD or optical drive, it's very risky.

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend this PSU.

3 out of 5 eggsBEWARE! sata clips break easy, happened twice to me

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: Great power supply, quiet, has everything i needed.

Cons: Sata clips are cheap, be careful when attaching them. I returned one of these power supplies after one of the clips broke beyond repair. Ordered a new one and the same thing happened, a second time. Luckily I was able to super glue it in place, vs having to order a 3rd one.

4 out of 5 eggsJust a Power Supply

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: Came super fast by Ontrack ? dont know who they are but worked for me.
Never had a problem with Rosewell stuff and needed a cheap power supply. It installed nice started up no issues.

Cons: Read below

Other Thoughts: Its a 5 star "IF"......It last a few years and I get my rebate because of these unknowns I gave it a 4 star.

Its hard to give 5 stars unless it last a long time.

2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable lifespan

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: Worked well enough when it worked, good fans.

Cons: Failed after three months. Computer started turning off randomly and then wouldn't turn on at all.
Verified to be the power supply when it wouldn't turn on when power on pin was grounded.

Other Thoughts: Cables were a bit shorter than would have been best, but fine for a micro ATX.

May be worth getting if you don't mind gambling and don't have a large motherboard, since potentially any PSU can be a gamble, however.

4 out of 5 eggsI was skeptical

This review is from: Rosewill RD400-2-DB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: So far it works great. I was a bit skeptical at first, but again, it works fine so far. Enough cables for my needs, great cable length (see cons), and it's quiet. The grips on the plugs are a nice touch. Makes for easy removal of plugs (especially 4pin molex).

Cons: The 8Pin CPU power cable is short. I know others have stated this also. I bought it thinking, maybe it will be long enough for my mobo...that was not the case. I had to stretch it and run it under the back end of my graphics card to get it to reach and even then, it wasn't safe. So, I ended up buying a extension. Which that, wasn't a huge deal. It was a couple bucks on another well known site. Be sure to take the cable length into consideration when buying this psu. Do yourself a favor and order the extension with it.

Other Thoughts: This power supply is powering:

Phenom II X4 965, ATI 4850 GPU, 1x750GB 7200RPM HD, 1x2TB 5400 RPM HD, Creative Audigy 2, 3x120mm Case Fans, DVD Burner, 2x4GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Vengeance Mem, and a Foxconn A880A-S Motherboard
