5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: It works. It's a USB hub and does what it's supposed to do. I've had a few of these for over a year and they just keep working.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsFire Hazard When Powered!

Pros: Reliable when unpowered. Handles all four plugs being used simultaneously, even by four Xbox 360 controllers.

Cons: The included AC adapter is dangerously overpowered. It puts out 2 full amps. This is an unsafe amount of power to send through USB.

Other Thoughts: I've had this for a few years, and only recently tried hookup up its power supply. While using it, one of my controllers (using a Play-and-Charge) suddenly died. I saw the charge light was off, but the controller wouldn't turn on. Then I noticed the controller was hot to the touch. Then I noticed the smell of burning plastic. It sent so much current down the line that it fried the PnC's plug. There's a nice hole burnt into it now. I was just lucky that I was in the room when it happened, or there may have been a fire.

I also made the mistake of plugging my PS Vita into it while it was connected to my PS3. The Vita almost instantly locked up, and I had to do the 30-sec power trick to reset it.

I took the AC adapter off, and the hub works normally again. I don't know what Rosewill was thinking including an AC adapter with that kind of output.

5 out of 5 eggsreliable USB hub

Pros: works as advertised even when fully loaded with 4 devices

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I originally used this for gaming in my home theatre. ran a 20ft usb cable from the PC at the back of the room and under the theatre chairs to this hub. Then had keyboard, mouse, n52te nostromo gamepad and usb headset plugged in for gaming on projector. No lag issues when playing online MMO or FPS games

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is a usb hub. It does what a USB hub should do with power. They provide a USB B cable (read USB printer cable) which holds a lot tighter then mini and micro USB connectors

Cons: Larger then other 7 port powered hubs and only has four ports. Seems like it should have rubber feet but just has a plastic bottom.

Other Thoughts: I got this to power an external drive when I connect it as a USB2GO device. For that it works well. I just wish it has rubber feet because it tends to slide around on my desk

1 out of 5 eggsFailing

Pros: Slim, convenient

Cons: Started failing at 1 year

Other Thoughts: Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but I used the hub without changing cables, so I felt that there wouldn't be the wear that that can cause. Well, it didn't matter, as the slots are losing their connectivity. I'm down to 1 and trying to work on a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great powered hub. I use it to charge things and connect devices to my HTPC. It does these things magnificently. Still working, since 12/25/11. Looks good on top of my entertainment center.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought 3 of these a bit over a year ago. They all work well and I've had no issues. USB 3.0 devices still work fine in it, albeit at a 2.0 speed, but I was aware of this before buying. Great product for the price, and is aesthetically pleasing. I bought one of the 3 for a lab computer at work, and it managed to work on a 15 year old UV-Vis instrument. I was pleasantly surprised.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little Powered USB

Pros: Sends signal for keyboard, mouse, and remote controller for ps3 with no hickups through an extra really long 20ft usb cable on the incoming end. (also charges my phone)
Fast Shipping (Came from newegg even tho I ordered from a site that starts with A and ends with N.)

Cons: 1 out of the two units i bought had a power issue for which Rosewill sent out a new unit free of charge therefore good job on customer service, not really a con. I will continue to buy from Rosewill as I have before.

Other Thoughts: Better than unpowered usb hubs, good customer service, fast shipping, works great with very long usb extension cable for no loss of data due to extra power. Powers all my (PS3 and 360) console gizmos across the livingroom.

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: Works as intended. Good price.

Cons: It didn't worship me as it's new master and overlord when I opened the box. Very disappointing...

Other Thoughts: Smaller than I thought it would be.

4 out of 5 eggsA big boy

Pros: Works like I expect it to and comes with power supply.

Cons: Really big. That's the only reason I knocked an egg off.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this with one of my Raspberry Pi. Does just fine for powering it, but it's about the same size as the Pi. I have a different 4-port hub that I bought elsewhere on my other Pi that is significantly smaller and does the same job.
