1 out of 5 eggsFailing

Pros: Slim, convenient

Cons: Started failing at 1 year

Other Thoughts: Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but I used the hub without changing cables, so I felt that there wouldn't be the wear that that can cause. Well, it didn't matter, as the slots are losing their connectivity. I'm down to 1 and trying to work on a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great powered hub. I use it to charge things and connect devices to my HTPC. It does these things magnificently. Still working, since 12/25/11. Looks good on top of my entertainment center.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought 3 of these a bit over a year ago. They all work well and I've had no issues. USB 3.0 devices still work fine in it, albeit at a 2.0 speed, but I was aware of this before buying. Great product for the price, and is aesthetically pleasing. I bought one of the 3 for a lab computer at work, and it managed to work on a 15 year old UV-Vis instrument. I was pleasantly surprised.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little Powered USB

Pros: Sends signal for keyboard, mouse, and remote controller for ps3 with no hickups through an extra really long 20ft usb cable on the incoming end. (also charges my phone)
Fast Shipping (Came from newegg even tho I ordered from a site that starts with A and ends with N.)

Cons: 1 out of the two units i bought had a power issue for which Rosewill sent out a new unit free of charge therefore good job on customer service, not really a con. I will continue to buy from Rosewill as I have before.

Other Thoughts: Better than unpowered usb hubs, good customer service, fast shipping, works great with very long usb extension cable for no loss of data due to extra power. Powers all my (PS3 and 360) console gizmos across the livingroom.

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: Works as intended. Good price.

Cons: It didn't worship me as it's new master and overlord when I opened the box. Very disappointing...

Other Thoughts: Smaller than I thought it would be.

4 out of 5 eggsA big boy

Pros: Works like I expect it to and comes with power supply.

Cons: Really big. That's the only reason I knocked an egg off.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this with one of my Raspberry Pi. Does just fine for powering it, but it's about the same size as the Pi. I have a different 4-port hub that I bought elsewhere on my other Pi that is significantly smaller and does the same job.

5 out of 5 eggsOustanding

Pros: Sweet product - does exactly what it's supposed to. Windows uses a generic driver installed by the system so there is no install disk.

Cons: Spend a little extra on the ink when printing the instructions. I needed a magnifying glass to see the text. I do not have a problem with my vision but the text was microscopic.

Other Thoughts: Excellent product.

1 out of 5 eggsExternal power does not work

Pros: USB uplink works fine.

Cons: External power source on my unit does not work (LED does not light; hub does not provide power to downstream connected devices). Making this device no better / different than ordinary ~$3-5 USB hubs for sale. Disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow up to older review

Pros: I lasted reviewed this on 7/17/2010 5:57:02 PM and I still am using this hub with no problems. The power supply over powering issue never happened for me. I have relocated moving across country. Moved my computer around to different locations and this hub works just as good as the day I bought it. No problems what so ever.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am thinking about building a low priced mini computer to use as a media server for my network. I don't like any of the pre-built things I have seen or tried. I had the WD 4 TB Cloud server and the processor was too slow for multiple same time connections so I am looking into a Linux mini system with an AMD 1.6 GHz dual band APU and three or four external case to move the two 2TB and two 1 TB WD drives I use for media storage. I will probably be buying another one of these and 4 external cases with fans or maybe two Rosewill JOB boxes to handle my drives. This hub was worth every penny I paid for it.

5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done!

Pros: -Very easy to use, just plug it in!
-Pretty small and doesn't look bad next to my TV.

Cons: -None.

Other Thoughts: The hub comes with a power supply you should use if your going to be using anything beefy through the hub. Personally, I just have a wireless mouse, keyboard and game receiver hooked up to mine and it works like a champion without the power cable!
