5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I built my system with this PSU over two years ago. Inside my box;
Core i7 960 3.2GHz OC'd at 4.18
ASUS P6X58D-Extreme
GTX 470 Superclock (1472) [a real power hog]
6 memory dimms
2xDVD burners
2x250GB SATAII in RAID-0
1x500GB SATAII storage
EVO 212 Heatsink w/120mm fan
1x120mm case fan
2x140mm case fans
1x200mm case fan

It has run flawless this whole time.

Cons: I'm in the mode to SLI with newer GPU's but this is not quite the PSU for this. It needs more power and PCIe cables to acomplish this. One more GTX 470 on this two year old PSU might just be the final straw for it. It's plenty to run even the best single GPU out there.

Other Thoughts: For the wattage this unit produces it has performed very well. I would recommend this for a "middle of the road" build.

The fact that I did not plan ahead for expansion is not the fault of this unit and not a reason to remove an egg. I would suggest that your PSU is not a good place to cut corners in a build.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Really happy with this PSU. So many negative reviews but it works well for me with no problems for my nvidia 670.

Cons: Is not modular which i didn't realize till after i ordered it. Also has a blue LED i didn't see in any of the images.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your money

Pros: worked great while it lasted....3 months

Cons: Every time I start a game, it will crash and reboot with in 5 minutes of playing. let alone trying to setup SLI it will crash after 2 mins. I can surf the web all day long though and it does fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price

Pros: Plenty of cables. Blue lights match my case. Quiet.

Cons: Didn't realize it was not modular. Cable management was a pain in my tower (Antec 900).

Other Thoughts: Purchased on sale for $80, so it was a fantastic deal.

4 out of 5 eggsit still works

Pros: Powers everything like a champ. Have had it 2 yrs and 2 months.

Cons: Sometimes the computer wont boot , i have to jiggle the connection to the motherboard to get it to boot. This has happened several times, but, not recently. I'd say about a year now. Don't know if a mb issue or psu issue.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Very quiet, does the job.

Cons: Cable management is very difficult with this power supply.

Other Thoughts: The power supply does the job, it's quiet but cable management is very difficult especially a higher end massive video card, need a really big ETX tower to fit everything, not enough molex if you have a lot of fans and LED's, really hard to manage the thick cables.

Partially it is my fault for the smaller ATX tower, but the 4 pin motherboard connector can barely even stretch far enough without pressing on the motherboard.

If you know what you are doing, this is a good PSU for the money, if you are a noob like myself and you are new to cable management and building PC's this will be a tough learning experience, make sure to buy a massive case with this PSU, but BE WARNED, 4 pin motherboard cable will barely reach without pushing on the video cards, especially with dual SLI or crossfire.

4/5 IMO, not disappointed overall.

2 out of 5 eggsFried my motherboard and CPU

Pros: I bought this during the summer of 2011 as part of gaming rig. It worked great for a year and a half, not once having issues.

Cons: All of a sudden, last month, the unit blew my motherboard and processor, about $300 worth of parts.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A connector for anything and everything, looks sweet, lights the inside up with a blue light, and quiet.

Cons: About a quarter of an inch longer than the ps that came with my DX4860-UR14P, but with a little elbow grease it's manageable, and the plethora of connectors seem like a mess.

Other Thoughts: Was wondering if clipping and tapping the excess wiring would be a solution to the excess wiring. (With full knowledge that the warranty would most likely be voided.)
