5 out of 5 eggsEasy peezy

Pros: Easy to install, lots of room to expand.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: No real cons at all other than wishing the power chord was a little longer.

4 out of 5 eggsGone too soon :(

Pros: For what I needed at the time, it was perfect. No issues for some time. Nice, affordable PSU for the wattage.

I put money into a PC that should be using two graphics cards, but this can handle one mid-grade, so it did it's job. It's a good stepping stone until you save for something more sufficient for gaming.

Cons: I noticed after a year that the SATA connections were a little low on voltage, but I simply moved the DVD and HDD to they're own lines and it was fine. A couple months later it started to lose the ability to run a single graphics card altogether.

Anyone who knows electronics knows that eventually these things could happen without any warning (and sometimes what you get in the mail could very well be doa.)

I suppose I was kind of lucky that I was able to cope easier knowing what was eventual; At least there were warning signs before it failed completely.

Other Thoughts: About 6 months ago it died completely and I've been debating on turning in for warranty, but I am also thinking about upgrading the PSU altogether, so I've held off. I'm at the point now that I just miss having my own rig and bothered by the fact that I'm having to use my wife's laptop to write this review.

2 out of 5 eggsWell, it worked well for a while

Pros: Never gave me any reason to look askance at it for 3 years. Quiet I suppose, I have several fans in here and can't really hear any one over another.

Cons: Getting "Power Supply Surge" errors of my ASUS MoBo now after 3 years.

Other Thoughts: Has worked fine for, well, I *think* three years. About a year ago I started having a lot of problems with bluescreens while playing SWTOR which I've never been able to solve, and just this past couple weeks I'm getting new "power supply surge" screens. So, either it worked fine for three years or two...

5 out of 5 eggsQuality, Affordable Case

Pros: Plenty of room

Cable management not a problem

Non-flashy looks - which I greatly prefer

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I love Rosewill cases - this is the 3rd I've owned, and I've yet to have a single issue with one. They aren't flashy, but you get a very dependable case with plenty of room and fans to keep your rig going for years.

1 out of 5 eggsBurned within Month

Pros: Silent, pretty easy to install, work well when it did.

Cons: Burned out within a month of use

Other Thoughts: I really enjoyed using this for how silent it was but when it burned out I was really bummed that it died within a month of use specially since this was my first build.

5 out of 5 eggsCool and Silent

Pros: Awesome power supply. I have run continuous loads of 500W (as measured from the wall). The power supply remains cool and silent under such loads. There was no need to mount the PSU upside down; it isn't adding much heat to my system.

Cons: Some people may have an issue with the lack of modularity. I picked the cables that were not needed, tie wrapped them in a neat bundle, and anchored the unused cables in front of the power supply. They can not be seen. I had no issues working with this PSU, but you may have an issue with a small case.

Other Thoughts: It really helps to assemble and test your components outside the system. Not only does it save time in the event of a bad component, but it forces you to think out your cable management before you build. This is probably why I was not unhappy about it not being modular.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent Running

Pros: 80+ Gold certified
Silent
Lots of connectors
Wires to connectors are in braided sheaths
Appears to be very high quality

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If do the math, you will find that an 80+ power supply (PS) will pay for itself.

For my analysis I assumed that for the life of the power supply I would operate for one full year, 8,760 hours, at 200 W ("Kill A Watt" Reading with 100 % CPU (i5-2300) and 100 % GPU (GTX 960) usage).

Now a cheap PS MIGHT BRAG about being 70 % efficient,
so power IN = 285.7 W,
thus consuming 2,503 kW•Hrs in 8,760 hours.

At 200 W, this PS will be 90.13 % efficient (interpolated using the parabola defined by tested performance values downloaded from the certifying body, PlugLoadSolutions),
so power IN = 221.9 W,
thus consuming 1,944 kW•Hrs in 8,760 hours.

Compared to the cheap power supply, this power supply will consume 559 kW•Hrs less in one year's worth of running.

I pay $0.142/k•hr, so this power supply will save me $79 in 8,760 hours of operation.

Here is the evaluation process as one big formula (efficiency is a number from 0 to 1):

$_Saved = Number_of_Hours_for_Analysis * ( Operating_Power_in_W / Old_PS_Efficiency - Operating_Power_in_W / New_PS_Efficiency ) * Cost_of_Energy_in_$_per_kWHr * 0.001

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding shipping

Pros: I don't often write reviews but this was a better than average experience. I ordered the power supply on a Monday and it arrived the next day. Came in a big box with plenty of packaging material. Hooked up the power supply that night and it works flawlessly. Very positive experience with Newegg. The power supply itself looks to be of high quality, nice textured paint finish. Seems to be very quiet.

Cons: Would prefer not to deal with filling out and and mailing rebate, but Newegg made it as painless as possible.

5 out of 5 eggsStill kicking after two and a half years!

Pros: This PSU has probably saved me quite a bit on the electricity bill (80 Plus Gold for the win...) since I've had it, as I usually have my PC on 24/7. Definitely quiet, easy to install, has plenty of connectors, and built with quality materials. Excellent PSU.

Cons: Not really a con, but this is non-modular. However, Rosewill has other options if you want to go that route, so there's that.

Other Thoughts: I originally bought this Power Supply for my first custom PC build back in the summer of 2012 (for $79.99, appears to be the same price today). Since then, I have upgraded a few things from the CPU to the GPU as well as adding a few hard drives. For those wondering what all you might be able to power with this thing, here's my current build:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: Gigabyte R9 270X 2GB
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws: 16GB (4x4GB) @ 1600Mhz
Storage: 2xSSDs, 2xHDDs
Soundcard: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Professional Audio PCI Express
Case Fans: 2x200mm, 2x140mm
Other: Various peripherals, standard DVD burner.
