Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This Rosewill CAPSTONE PSU is, simply put, amazing. It has a matte finish and feels very solid. The cables on this PSU are sleeved, making it look sweet in my Rosewill FUTURE case (unfortunately discontinued), and looks great inside. I bought this for use with my overclocked 1GB 7850 I will CrossFire once they come down in price. 80+ Gold efficiency saves electricity and keeps my build nice and cool. And this PSU is very quiet. Can't hear it above my case fans, making it the most quiet component in my build. Over Temperature/Current/Voltage/Power Protection and all of that good stuff.

Cons: For me? None. If I had to nit-pick, I'd say the current price. I bought this PSU on 3/5/13 for $84.99. Quite the steal for the price at the time. However this cost is still justified, having many premium features at the (now) premium cost.

Other Thoughts: If you are in the market for a premium power supply ready to CrossFire or SLI your GPUs, definetly get this. I purchased this and have not looked back.

Pros: Excellent components. You can see and feel the quality. Bordering on 80 Plus Platinum efficiency.

Cons: None, it's a top quality unit at a great price.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased a number of different Rosewill products in the past 2 years and all have had a quality feel and performed flawlessly. They are fast becoming one of my preferred brands.

Pros: I did a lot of research on tomshardware and AnandTech on this PSU, and I'm glad I did! The fan is not loud at all. Everything is powered well, though I have not yet received my video card to really push it. It's doing its job well right now and SuperFlower is a very good manufacturer. Newegg did well choosing them for this PSU model series.

I haven't yet put it under too much of a heavy load. I'll be sure to add more once I've really put it through its paces.

Cons: Doesn't have a metal oxide varistor (MOV) The MOV essentially acts as a built in surge protector, so the Capstone 650 is prone to voltage spikes. Though having an MOV is typically a luxury item on PSU's, expecting to have one on such a quality PSU as this isn't expecting too much, in my opinion. Just make sure you use a quality surge protector at all times.

Other Thoughts: Newegg changed the models on me the day before I placed my order. I saved 10 bux, but I was no longer getting the modular version. Oh well. The trade-off wasn't bad.

Cons: Mine was DOA. I shipped it back yesterday I hope ill get it back soon.

Other Thoughts: I plugged in a 200 mm Cooler Master fan with a Molex cable flipped on the power supply heard a pop the fan in the PSU spun about 1/2 a rotation then nothing else. At first I thought the fans were really silent only to be really dissapointed. I gave it 3 stars for its features but being DOA.

Pros: Easy to install and runs silently. Cables easily reach all connections. Installed it in a Corsair 300 case, powering an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Mobo, i5-3750K CPU and HD-7950 Video Card, a HDD and SSD. Would recommend.

Cons: None

Pros: Good while it Lasted

Cons: Fried without notice.

Pros: Includes all the cables you'd ever need. I don't hear it make any noise.

Cons: None.

Pros: working great for over 8 months with gaming on average of
1-4 hrs daily, and daily web surfing/normal usage

Pros: Even though it blew smoke at me, I started the machine up again, and the PSU is still working. I obviously can't rely on it, but it's still working.

Cons: Pulled it out of the box. Plugged it all in. Fired it up. Computer came on long enough to get to the CTRL Alt Delete Win 7pro login screen, then restarted on it's own. I'm troubleshooting part for part on an older machine, so I thought it might be the mobo. I flipped the PSU power switch in back to investigated, and the PSU puffed smoke right into my nose.

Other Thoughts: The sun shown down in scintillating grandeur upon the verdant river.

Pros: Solid construction, nice cable length, GOLD certified, excellent power and price.

Cons: Lasted about a week and a half but very good when it worked. Unhappy customer that this build was for.

Other Thoughts: Defintely a quality product but these things do happen occasionally.
