5 out of 5 eggsStill working properly after over a year of daily use.

This review is from: Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Price to Watt ratio. I am only running a single video card and multiple SSDs, 1 DVD-burner and of course the motherboard with a 3770K i7 and 32GB RAM. PSU handles this load easily.

Cons: If you have 2 or more high end video cards you should probably get a better higher watt PSU.

All Active PFC power supplies like this one, should have sine wave compatible backups. If you have a cheaper battery back-ups it may fail to keep PSU and thus computer working during a power outage. I have a Cyber Power CP1000PFCLCD and I haven't had any issues with it so far.

Other Thoughts: PSU companies like Rosewill, Seasonic, Thermaltake, Corsair, etc. should do a better job of recommending proper Backup units that work with their Power Supplies. It would be nice if APC, Cyperpower, Tripp-lite, etc. Teamed up with or made their own branded PSUs for computers to help reduce incompatible combos.

1 out of 5 eggsNot reliable

This review is from: Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: None

Cons: Came defective like most of Rosewill's other products. Unreliable company.

Other Thoughts: Corsair or EVGA are much better for PSU

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

This review is from: Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I currently have an AMD R9 270x 4GB Sapphire GPU and AMD A10 6800K CPU, along with two HDDs, one SSD, DVD drive, media card reader, and four 120mm fans. All of which run just fine and dandy. There are plenty of hookups so I am not worried about adding more.

Cons: None that I can think of!

Other Thoughts: Just make sure you have a place to hide the wires away!

3 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, but tOO MANY DANG CABLES!

This review is from: Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Great PSU. Huge fan and lots of power.

Cons: The non-modular version has a heck of a lot of cables. Took me almost an hour to re-arrange the whole system. Also, I started hearing some noises from the fan. I returned it for the Capston 750watt Modular version. WAAAAAAAY better and great for cable management.

Other Thoughts: Don't be undecided in getting this PSU. HEard nothing but great reviews about it. It's very silent now unlike my old 8 year PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsStopped working after a month

This review is from: Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Cant think of any.

Cons: looks like cheaply made. Will never buy Rosewill again

Other Thoughts: this power supply stopped working on the 31st day after purchase so I could not return it to Newegg because it was one day late.
I honestly do not want to deal with RMA through Rosewill.
It was just a bad choice. I m just going to trash it and buy another power supply.
