2 out of 5 eggsBroken on delivery

Pros: Don't know of any

Cons: As soon as I hooked everything up and fired the pc up I got the same error as Daniel. Power Surge detected and immediately restarted my pc. I disabled the feature because my computer ran fine until I ran a game. Any game no matter the gpu requirements would randomly restart. Could stay on 3 hours or 5 minutes but it would eventually freeze up. I don't think the risk is worth it.

Other Thoughts: Waited too long for a refund so now I'm working with Rosewill on the warranty side. Will update when I receive the new power supply.

1 out of 5 eggswaist of money

Pros: was a good price but not worth the money and the headache we are having now with the unit

Cons: Power unit will cause unstable surge and the motherboard will detect the unstable surge and shut down. Some times it takes two or three restarts before the computer will finally boot completely.

Other Thoughts: i would not recommend this power supply at all. Bought this in March of 2013 and now having to replace it.

2 out of 5 eggsSufficient power, short life.

Pros: Powered my PC for just under 5 years.

Cons: Out of nowhere just stopped working. Smelled of electrical burning. This PSU was actually overkill for my setup. I was using it in my file server (no graphics card, just a decent mobo/cpu and hard drive). It was constantly on though. Based on the other reviews I'm seeing; don't expect this to last longer than 5 years.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your time

Pros: Nothing

Cons: It was defective. It powered up my PC and every 20 minutes or so my PC would restart and give an error message claiming unusual power surges were detected

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money, its a power full unit but its seems your chances of getting a working one are slim. Others out there for the same price that are just as good.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Supply

Pros: Plenty of cables
Powered all components aquatically.

Cons: Died after 2.5 years of use. She just wouldn't turn on one day. I contacted new egg and they replaced my power supply right away.

Other Thoughts: If this power supply keeps working in 2 years I'll keep it for my next build.

3 out of 5 eggsRosewill Xtreme Series 850W

Pros: Powers all of the parts in my comp pretty well.

Cons: After using for a few days, the LED in the PSU is flashing and the unit itself is making a clicking noise. I'm worried I may have a short. I'm disappointed I only got to use it for a couple days without it acting up.

5 out of 5 eggsNice PSU!

Pros: Plenty of connectors, great cable lengths (except EPS cable - see cons) and covered with some sort of mesh to protect them from getting snagged. The way the connectors were made to be 20+4 (ATX12V), 4+4 ATX12V) and 6+2 (PCI-E) was nice for flexibility in Motherboard and video card selection. I only run one GPU at the moment, but this PSU can support up to 4 GPU's if I want to upgrade in the future...not that I would ever use 4 GPU's personally, but I could!

Cons: EPS cable was not long enough to route behind the backplane of the mother board. Had to route it around the end of the video card. Not a big deal, but as all the other cables were long enough why not this one?

Other Thoughts: First time using a bottom mount PSU case, would have been nice if the instructions provided the manufacturer's thoughts on mounting the PSU with fan facing down or up. Not sure if this is a preference of the builder or if there are technical reasons to mount one way vs. the other....

3 out of 5 eggsGreat! For a while...

Pros: - Very powerful supply for its price

- Looks awesome

Cons: - Cords are stiff and occasionally tricky to maneuver.

- After about a year and two months it degraded to the point where it could not produce the power necessary to run my rig. Using the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Lite, my rig requires 552 watts with a recommended 602. Drops to 60% effectiveness in less than a year and a half. If you're planning on upgrading again within a year, go for it, but if you're looking for a product that will last for years, you may wish to look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsStill working after all these years

Pros: Great power supply, has supplied power to many boards all ASUS since I bought it in 2008 and my dual crossfire Asus 4870s, but now ended up as the PWS for my media server which is just an intel 2020 with my older 580GTX vid card sitting next to my 46" Samsung TV.

Cons: Not Modular but when it first came available in 2007, Modulars were 20-30% more in price and with the newer cases that allow you to run cables behind the motherboard, most extra non used cables can now be hidden today.

Other Thoughts: Great power supply, I just wished that their 1000 watt had the same reliability, had to go with a Thermaltake, since the rosewill 1000 died after 2 months.
