1 out of 5 eggs2 Units Failed in a Year

This review is from: Rosewill Hive-750, Hive Series 750W Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: -Nice flat cables
-Plenty of cables
-Color coated
-Comes with a nice case to hold extra cables and stuff in

Cons: -Non-modular cables are long (had to do a lot of zip tying to keep them from going everywhere
-Confusing if using a 4 pin motherboard connector instead of 8.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this unit a year ago. I received my first one and it was DOA. I got a replaced and it worked up until 2 weeks ago. I opened up the power supply and nothing inside showed signs of failure: no blown capacitors, burned up resistors, or other noticeable failures. All i know is that it stopped working. I'm never purchasing a rosewill product ever again. It was a nice product when it worked but I'm done. Recommend an EVGA power supply. Much better quality and you get 7-10 year warranties on those because EVGA knows how to make quality products.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

This review is from: Rosewill Hive-750, Hive Series 750W Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: It works as expected.
Modular design (cables plug into the PSU so extra cables aren't just hanging around)
Includes a zip-up bag to store unused power cables.
Doesn't get too warm.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've been pretty happy with the Rosewill brand in general.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed after a year and a half of use

This review is from: Rosewill Hive-750, Hive Series 750W Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: Semi-modular, so less cables taking up space inside my case.

Cons: Failed after a year and a half with that lovely burned electronics smell that permeates everything.
Ran kinda hot at times.
Proprietary cables.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed!

This review is from: Rosewill Hive-750, Hive Series 750W Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: Modular design, quiet and stable.

Cons: None, really!

Other Thoughts: Wow, am I impressed! Just got this PSU from NewEgg within 1 business day delivery (awesome isn't it?) and I have to say I am very impressed. I was shopping for a 750W PSU for quite a while, comparing Corsair with Seasonic and Evga PSU's and frankly, I think I hit the jackpot with this Rosewill in terms of value and performance. I love the modular aspect, it is extremely quiet and looking at my voltages, incredibly stable. Recommend 5 stars or 5 eggs!

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed.

This review is from: Rosewill Hive-750, Hive Series 750W Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: The packaging was incredible. I felt like I was opening a top end product. The quality has also impressed me, the cables and the power cords are in there own separate pouch. The unit itself seems very well made, it's currently running amd 8135 with 570 gtx sli and full watercooling loop for cpu and both gpus. Very impressed.

Cons: Not full modular.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy and perfect for my needs!

This review is from: Rosewill Hive-750, Hive Series 750W Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & CrossFire Ready

Pros: This is a wonderful power supply for people whom are into gaming! While I would love a higher wattage, it actually does its job great! I never had any real issue with it so far, and it still runs the same way as it does today! The fan inside isn't causing any problems for quite sometime, nor has any issue when power outages effects it any either. I love the power switch on it too, which some of my older power supply did not have when I need to fix up my computer, or do a monthly cleaning inside it.

Cons: Only real issue is that there was an optional mounting bracket for it. However, it is obviously not needed, more of a first world problem honestly.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend for people whom wants to build a custom computer from scratch. Sure, it won't have the highest wattage output in the world, but it does a great job for its price range! Only real reason not to get it is if your computer needs more power than what it has provided.
