Modern power supplies have to be efficient, cope with changing power factors, and deal with new, higher-power graphics cards. Rosewill does that with an entire line of power supplies.

With six hundred watts of power, eighty percent efficient or more, and the ability to automatically sense the line voltage input, this power supply is ready to work. Compatible with both ATI's Crossfire and Nvidia's SLI graphics cards, with two twelve-volt rails of twenty-two amps each, and a powerful 120mm temperature-controlled fan, the Stallion series is well-named. You're protected from over temperature, over current, and over voltage conditions, while an automatic in-rush current limiter keeps your circuit breakers happy.

There are a lot of good power supplies out there, but it's hard to beat this one for value. Make up your own mind, but don't be surprised if you end up coming right back here.

5 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: Had to replace the Kids Computer PSU and chose this one based on price. The performance has been solid with no issues after 6 months.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works like it should.
Enough AMPS on 12 volt rails.

Cons: Stupid blue LED... Looks stupid with my HAF 922 with red LEDs.

Other Thoughts: Only used it for 3 hours. Waiting for my Core i7 920 RMA to be shipped back.

1 out of 5 eggsWent bunk in 30 minutes

Pros: Looks nice?

Cons: Popped in the PSU and booted everything up just fine. After about a half hour, in the process of installing some GPU drivers, the computer shut down entirely and won't turn back on. Dead PSU.

Manufacturer Response:

We look forward to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
Rosewill Customer Care

5 out of 5 eggsA silent PS...

Pros: Far as I can tell... this is pumping out all the appropriate power along all the rails. System is stable... no fluctuations that I can detect. Large fan is silent.

Cons: Not a one

Other Thoughts: Cables are wrapped and definately long enough to suit a mid tower (it was a little difficult finding a place for the excess)... but its overall a good thing. Has the PCI-E plugs for modern video cards (like say...an ATI 4850 for instance)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but...

Pros: - 44A 12v rails total
- Does it's job?

Cons: - After about 3 months I notice a slight buzzing from about a foot away from the power supply. Any further and I cannot hear it though. I have confirmed that it is the power supply making the noise.

Other Thoughts: - Blue LED is nice.
- Sometimes that buzzing gets louder than normal and gets real annoying. Unplugging it and replugging it in fixes the problem, but that means I have to restart my computer...

I suggest going with a more popular brand like OCZ.

3 out of 5 eggsFailed. No second chance.

Pros: Long cabling.

Cons: Defective. Where is the quality control?? I'm really sick of buying faulty merchandise which needs to be RMA'd. Would it kill them to send out an actual WORKING product now and then?

Other Thoughts: According to my digital power supply tester the Power Good signal is WAY over spec. Off scale at over 990 milliseconds which is totally unacceptable. All voltages read good but without the PG signal your mobo will not POST. I sent it back for a refund and bought an OCZ StealthXStream instead which runs flawlessly. No more Rosewill products for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU.

Pros: Great price, great perfomance, quiet fan and cool temps. The rails are very solid, haven't had any problems with the voltages being off. Has all the power cables you would need for any PCI-e setup.

Cons: The power cables coming out the back of the unit stick out pretty far, so if you have an older optical drive that's longer, it may hit the back of the drive, which was my case. Ended up having to buy a replacement drive for the one that was longer.

Other Thoughts: If you're needing a new power supply for an existing system or new, this is a great choice. Good price, good power output and of course NewEgg is #1. Don't bother shopping around, you might save a couple bucks but if something goes wrong I'd much rather have NewEgg's customer service backing me up.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

Pros: Nice price for the power. Looks cool. Cords are long and insulated.

Cons: After about the 4th time powering up my computer, this PSU apparently started to fail and took my motherboard and video card with it. This was my first Rosewill and the cheap price tag has ended up costing me hundreds of dollars to repair the damage that it caused. It's not even worth the shipping and handling (or the hassle) for an RMA.
