Rosewill RKV-2UC 2-Port USB KVM Switch

Pros: Has served me very well for over a year.

Cons: Not DVI. The remote button should include an adhesive backing, who wants this thing flopping around everywhere.

Pros: Low price
Easy setup
No HOT Keys to switch between computers
Has a button to switch between computers

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I bought this KVM to replace a Bytecc KVM that used Hot Keys to switch between computer. This KVM has a button to switch between the computers. KVMs that have a Hot Key to switch between computers can cause problems when playing games that require the CTRL key to setup quick select groups.

Pros: -does what it says it does
-price

Cons: -cables could be a pinch longer or better yet modular so you can get exactly what you need for your situation.

Other Thoughts: I've been wanting a KVM switch for eons and am so glad I finally got this one. Cable length should be adequate for most peoples setups. Keep your eye on the CPU # indicator because it seems to default back to #1 after the computers have shut down (nothing wrong with that but if you don't keep that in mind you might expel a golden goose when you think #2 has a dead video card in it because you didn't check the indicator light :D).

Pros: I am quite pleased with this KVM. Most of the KVMs I have looked at combine two inputs into one output. This one acts like a pass-through which is exactly what I want. I have a gaming mouse that I like to set the controls on, and this KVM lets the OS see the mouse, and not the KVM.

Cons: I have no use for the video. I wish I could disconnect it from the KVM.

Pros: Easy setup and use, reasonable price.

Pros: Very easy setup.....

Cons: Worked for one day, then suddenly the keyboard and mouse stopped working on both computers. Restarted and everything to check to see if it was just the computer. Motherboard is brand new and now two of the USB ports do not even work anymore.

Pros: Wife uses it to switch keyboard and mouse between two computers. Not using VGA ports, but I'm sure it would work just as well. Mounted the clicker to the side of the desk, out of the way, and all cords are hidden.

Cons: None

Pros: Basic KVM. Haven't had any issues with using it.

Cons: Would be nice if it had the ability to switch based on keystrokes like some other KVMs.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it is a decent KVM, I have it connected to two different computers and a TV that is being used as a monitor, and it works with no problems.

Pros: It works fine for what I'm using it for.

Cons: I took one egg because it doesn''t have a keyboard hotkey to switch between computers, which I thought was pretty standard for KVMs.

Pros: Everything you need is included. I had purchased KVM's in the past, only to find out I needed additional vga cables to use them. Easy to setup (piece of cake actually). Works well out of the box. Powered completely by USB.

Cons: Not really a con, but you should be aware that it does take a few seconds after switching from 1 to 2 before the pc will recognize keystrokes/mouse movements.

Other Thoughts: I got this for, I believe something like $13 so I'd say it was a definite win. It enables me to work on a PC in my shop while having the other channel connected to my web/file server, eliminating the need to have a 2nd keyboard and mouse for the occasional times I do need to do server maintenance, website updates, etc.
