4 out of 5 eggsAffordable KVM

Pros: Very simple to use.
Very affordable compared to other models.

Cons: Cables are a bit short (about 3 ft. in length), so systems will need to be relatively close.
Not really a con, but a callout...It's VGA...one of these days, we won't have any monitors that support it. Might be better to upgrade your environment to DVI, HDMI or Display Port if you are going to use this long term.

Other Thoughts: This is actually the second one of these I bought, so they are clearly decent devices. I actually just wanted a pure shared USB hub for sharing a mouse/keyboard across 2 systems and not even using the video part. This device was actually cheaper than a standard USB hub that would have the same purpose, so works great.

5 out of 5 eggsRoswell 2 port switch

Pros: This switch works perfectly. Delivers 1920X1080. I've used Rosewill power supplies with good results. That prompted me to buy this after reading good reviews for it.

Cons: It doesn't sing or dance.

Other Thoughts: Replaced the black box switch made in China (that did not work) with this.
Small wire going to the extended switch is not a negative. Just let it lie.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Now I can work on two different machines using the same keyboard and monitor. Easy to hook up and use, nothing else needed.

Cons: Only has VGA connections, will need a DVI adapter if you only have a DVI connector.

5 out of 5 eggsDONT LISTEN TO BAD REVIEWS

Pros: Works quick and easy.

Instead of having two keyboards and mice, now I just have this little button sitting on the bottom of my monitor, when I click, my other PC wakes up!

Cons: None, but read below.

Other Thoughts: Most people toss the manual, and then complain about their motherboards getting fried.

Turn off both computers before installing this! Once everything is plugged in you can turn them both on, one after the other or at the same time and you won't have problems.

This product would have a lot more 5 egg reviews if people weren't so ignorant.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect KVM for Working from Home

Pros: This KVM allows me to use the same keyboard, mouse, and monitor, and easily switch between my work laptop & home desktop with the touch of a button, while listening to a steady stream of music from my home desktop. It is fully compatibly with my Logitech wireless keyboard & mouse which both share a single USB receiver.

As far as KVMs go, this one is inexpensive. The main point that set it apart for me when compared to other brands in this price range is the button controller switch. I kept reading in reviews for those other products that those keyboard command-driven KVMs sometimes have issues with keyboard/mouse compatibility or for wireless keyboards & mice sharing the same USB receiver, presumably because the keyboard has to be emulated to receive commands.

Upon plugging everything in, this KVM worked perfectly. There's only a 2 second delay or so when switching.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsworks like a charm

Pros: nice simple kvm switch for a cheap price

Cons: none, really

Other Thoughts: I have a machine with a PS2 keyboard connector and this kvm switch only has USB connectors. Sometimes the system fails to boot and is stuck in the BIOS window and the only way to access the computer is with a PS2 keyboard - be sure to have one on hand if this is your setup.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill RKV-2UC 2-Port USB KVM Switch

Pros: Small footprint; solid interface cables (USB & VGA cords); good length switch button cable; does what it's supposed to do

Cons: Switch cable wire is thin. Can't see it as a problem if you don't have to keep streaching it or tossing it around

Other Thoughts: Works. Have several computers at work and use it to be able to work on two machines at once. Do switch machines perhaps once every 2-3 weeks and interface cables are thick enough that I don't feel I have to handle with kid gloves (but not yanking on the things). Would recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill RKV-2UC 2-Port USB KVM Switch

Pros: Running two towers with this and it works well. I haven’t had any issues with screen flickering or issues with mouse or keyboard not working. Is about 2sec.
Only bummer is I wish it had keyboard shortcuts to switch also. The cable to the control button is plenty long enough just be aware that it can’t be disconnected from the switch so you have to have a hole in your desk about 1 1/4 in wide or run it or around the side / back.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little device

Pros: This switch does everything it's supposed to do well. It is about the most inexpensive switch of its type available, yet it works flawlessly.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This review is posted mainly to counter the several reviews I've read posted by cranks complaining about the thin cable to the control button. The cable is deliberately made thin because the control button is mounted on your desk, and a thick stiff cable would be more obtrusive than necessary. It's sturdy enough for normal use, and if you don't try to tow a car with it, it should last as long as you need it to. I'm always amazed at the geniuses who feel compelled to write misspelled comments about things they know naught. It's like the boss who is an ogre at work to compensate for the fact that his wife henpecks him at home. These people must have a need to write reviews because no one listens to what the say (for good reason) in their daily lives.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat KVM

Pros: Great KVM with small footprint.

Cons: The cable to the switch button is really thin. If it breaks you have to buy a new unit.

Other Thoughts: Other than the cable for the switch been really thin this unit works great
