5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: Decided to finally log on and leave a review for this power supply. I have owned this since November 2011 and it is still going strong in my PC. When I purchased it, it was on sale for $89.99! I was hesitant but decided to give it a try. I am glad I did.

Cons: None as it has been supplying my PC power since 2011.

5 out of 5 eggs1000 Watts of stable power

Pros: Supplies ample power to all the components. I love the modular connections. The fans are very quiet and doesn't make a lot of noise. I love how the PSU stays on for about 20secs to exhaust any standing heat out the case.

Cons: None that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Great deal, and good to match it up with my case of the same brand. It does it's job, and I haven't have it fail for flinch once. Highly Recommended.

4 out of 5 eggsShort Cables

Pros: It appears to be a solidly built supply. You are give lots of additional cables that can be plugged into the supply so you lots of flexibility when it comes to hooking thinks up.

Cons: The two motherboard power cables were almost too short. I put this supply in a THOR V2 case and the cables just about didn't make it to the sockets on my ASUS MB. If I had gotten two graphics cards I don't believe one of them would have reached.

4 out of 5 eggs5 years going strong

Pros: It's ran for 5 years. It's cheaper than buying a "gaming" PSU if your smart enough to know that you need to use 2 of the rails to run a GPU. So basically anyone who is building a computer should have this basic knowledge. It's marked on the PSU, plain and clear. I have a rosewill Thor full tower. It's not quite a blackhawk, but it's a friggin monster. All cables routed Perfect, except CPU cable is stretched across GPU to connect to it's plug up top.

Cons: Cables could stand to be longer.]
Only semi modular, because of the 4 rails I have 6 pin GPU connectors hard wired to the PSU that just sit in the case, because I needed two rails (60 amps) to adequately power my GPU. The hardwired ones for some dumb reason run off only 1 of the rails...makes no sense since it's there's no other component I can think of that takes a 6 pin.

Other Thoughts: To the special person saying that it is hard to or perhaps doesn't work in a Rosewill Blackhawk, then you are in fact special. That case is designed in a way that the PSU can go on top or bottom. I cannot fathom you having trouble if you simply move the PSU.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks good but design could be better

Pros: The power supply works as intended, lots of juice and has lasted me four years.

Cons: I would prefer if all cables were modular and the screen infront of the intake fan was finer. For the cables roughly half of them are modular, there were a few I didn't need and couldn't remove so I just hid them within the case. Finally the ultimate reason why I only gave it three stars is because of the screen on the intake fan. Four years ago my case arrived covered in green peanut foam, I cleaned all but about four tiny pieces out (only left in because I couldn't get them out). Time passed and everything was fine, then I moved. During the move the tiny foam somehow migrated to inside the power supply. Get to my new house, plug it in, and poof fried PC.

Other Thoughts: I just ordered a replacement. Upon arrival I'll void the warranty by doing some surgery, namely adding a mesh screen before the intake fan.

5 out of 5 eggsstll running

Pros: Quiet
nice blue LED
1000W

Cons: 1 wire was short (cat remember which 1 was it) i had to run it over my board stead of "hide it" (on the back)

Other Thoughts: well still running over a year
and this badboy is powering

3 out of 5 eggsShort cables - not kidding, they're short.

Pros: "none"

Cons: "none"

Other Thoughts: I don't know if this is a great PSU or not. It arrived at my house and I finally got the chance to swap it out with my current one.... but upon closer inspection of the cables vs. my current ones, there was no way I was going to dismantle my current build only to have them not be long enough. I have a Rosewill Blackhawk case, so one would have thought that the cables for this Rosewill PSU would have been long enough (being made by the same company and all). Which they very well may be I guess, BUT it would honestly be cutting it VERY close, if they even fit. I don't have any knowledge of how well this PSU works or if it's a good one or not, but i do know that given you're buying a 1000w PSU there's a good chance you're going to own a large(r) case also... let alone, if your PSU / CASE are the same brand. Also, this is not a fully modular PSU for those that that matters to.

3 out of 5 eggsNot For a Full Tower Case!

Pros: - W1000 !
- Quite cooling fan
- Modular
- It has lasted a long time under 24/7 heavy load. (yes, mining)

Cons: - VERY SHORT CABLES!
I would not buy this PSU to use in any case bigger then a Mid tower. All of the cables are unexceptionally short. I have this PSU set up in a open air bench where the PSU is directly underneath the GPUs and the 6 pin cables are stretched at their limit. I tried to set this PSU in my main rig which is in a Cooler Master CM Storm Trooper Full Tower case and none of the cables would even come close to connecting if I threaded them through the back for the simplest cable management!

Other Thoughts: The cable length is reason this PSU lost 2 eggs in its rating. Its simply unacceptable.
