Pros: Looks good.
Cons: A 700 watt PSU that can't handle a load near that. Has possibly damaged my motherboard. Read on.
I promised in the very first review on this thing that I would be back if anything changed. Well, here I am. Unfortunately, the fears I had then have come true.
In that first review, you can see my system. In theory, this PSU should be plenty enough to power it. In reality, it failed miserably. I began getting complete system shutdowns while gaming. No BSOD, no lockups. Pull your plug from the wall. That's what happens. It may take 40 minutes. It may take only 5. But if I put any kind of load on this PSU, my system is going down.
I already suspected the culprit, but spent a couple of days eliminating other possible causes. Open case, to make sure everything's cool. Running Memtest(passed). Underclocking the GPU. The problem persisted. Eventually I did what I knew I had to. I swapped out this thing for my trusty four year old Antec Truepower II 550W.
Other Thoughts: XFX recommends at least a 630W PSU to power their black edition GTX 260. Which is why I made the simultaneous PSU "upgrade". This 550W Antec with a max output of 36 amps on the 12v is doing what a 700W 54 amp PSU from Rosewill can't. Powering my system flawlessly. I've had zero shutdowns since the swap, under any condition. THAT is what you get from a quality power supply.
And that is why I will never make this mistake again.
Unfortunately, my system didn't come through completely unscathed. The onboard audio appears to have been damaged. Thankfully it's not a total loss. I have two settings in my BIOS. HDAudio and AC97. Only the HDAudio seems to be affected as I just discovered today that switching to AC97, so far, has eliminated the audio glitches that started with the shutdowns.
I wish the best of luck to the others that have purchased this. And for those browsing, do your research. And don't skimp on the most important component in your entire system.

Day 5 Of Ownership

Pros: Specs really say it all. 700W PSU with a single 12v rail capable of pushing 54 Amps. All the connectors you would expect. Great price. At least at the time of this review.
Cons: The voltages are not as tightly controlled as the 550W Antec this is replacing. They are slightly higher and tend to fluctuate a bit. We're talking hundredths of a volt (12v goes from 12.1-12.16 for example), but still, the Antec was rock steady.
----OTHER THOUGHTS----Ran out of characters :)
I'm a fairly new customer of Rosewill. I just recently bought a CPU cooler and a couple of case fans from them. Both seem to be quality products, despite their relatively low pricing.
I came across this new PSU browsing for some beefier power for a GPU upgrade. Typically, I research the heck out of everything before I purchase. However, in this case, seeing the specs and price and given my recent experience with Rosewill products, (not to mention being anxious to get the new GPU up and running) I took a blind leap.
Other Thoughts: It was only while waiting for the arrival of my new PSU that I began to read the horror stories of Rosewill PSUs going boom, sometimes taking entire systems with them.
I did notice something though, that helped alleviate my growing anxiety slightly. The newer Rosewill PSUs (including this one) make special mention of using Japanese capacitors. Hopefully this means an end to the days of the PSU sizzle-pop.
Anyway, I'm taking another leap, of faith and trusting this PSU with my newly built system. Only time will tell if my trust is misplaced. But at this point, 5 eggs. It's everything I needed at a good price. If anything changes, *you* can trust that I will be right back here.

Pros: It arrived within 2 days and worked great out of the box or so I thought.
Cons: It died within a week of use.
Other Thoughts: My computer shutoff by itself and it would not turn back on. I swapped the power supply out with an older one and the computer worked fine. I would not recommend purchasing.

Not stable!

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Ok for normal use - web browsering, word, watch a movie, etc.
Cons: Not for fullscreen 3D games! I used this to power my PC, an I7 920 with a single GTX285 video card. It caused BSOD/Crash/game freeze all the time. It may take 20 minutes, but it will happen.
Other Thoughts: PSU is not some place you want to save your money. I bought another brand name PSU to replace mine, and all the crash/BSOD is gone, knock on wood!
