Today’s premium computer parts require quality power, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune. The Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W power supply offers you everything you need to run contemporary PC components with ease.
The RG530-S12 has all of the connections you need for today’s hottest peripherals, including six 5pin SATA connectors for fast data transfer and two 6pin PCI-e connectors for the most powerful video cards. The RG530-S12 is ready for your SLI or CrossFire setups. The typical 4pin ATX12V/EPS12V connector is expandable to 8pins so you can use this power supply with your Core i5 or i7 Intel processor.
The RG530-S12 will also look great in your case with its black coating housing. All of the connectors are sleeved in mesh for better cable management and routing for increased air flow. Experience the Rosewill quality and build your next PC with the RG530-S12 530W power supply today!
Pros: Contains everything you need for a modern PC. Lots of sata/ide/cdrom drive connectors & one floppy drive connector, ATX 20+4 pin, 4/8pin CPU power, 6+6 *OR* 6+8 VGA power (such as a GTX 260/280 series)... and possibly another 1-2 that i forgot about. Nice to see sheathed cables so my computer looks more expensive than it really is - always a plus. Wont break the bank, but you could break your toes if you drop it on yourself :) Rosewill, you've done it again.
Cons: *picks up box* "whats this made of, CEMENT?" No cons about this power supply. May not be ideal if you plan to carry your PC around alot and are looking for something lightweight. ALL good power supplies have a decent amount of weight to them however so dont be discouraged just because i said it was heavy. POWER STATS AS PER MANUAL for those checking to see if your video card will work with this: 12v @41amps. Total power 530watt, max@630watt peak for 60sec. I cannot stress enough that you must not pass this over just because you think poorly of the Rosewill name. They make very good products for those of us who actually DO have a bottom to our wallets. PLEASE NOTE that it says 530 watt CONTINUOUS, not 530 watt PEAK. There IS a BIG difference in that.
Other Thoughts: "if it's heavy, it's expensive" It's heavy... but I am thankfull as i've been through many cheapie PWS's. All in all this was an excellent deal and i've had very good luck with ROSEWILL. Will purchase again [and again, and again]. Runs a GTX 260 Black edition without breaking a sweat or blowing electricity out the back of the case & all over the floor. HEAVY=QUALITY from my experience and this supply is no different. For those looking to purchase a power supply to run dual/triple video cards, you may wish to find a supply with DUAL/QUAD 12V rails as this is a power supply will only provide ONE 6 pin VGA & ONE 6-8 pin VGA connector. FYI: Cheap power supplies can not only crash your computer in just about every way possible, they can also blow it up and render all/most of the components unusable, so buying a good name PWS like ROSEWILL wont leave you with a case full of regret!

Excellent PSU

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Very efficient, 80 plus bronze certified- 86.59% typical according to 80plus.org. When idling it reduced my consumption from about 400W down to 320W. Over 24h that is just under 2kWh, and the number is higher when the computer is active. For me that's about 25c a day or $7.50 a month. It will easily pay for itself in a few months, less than a year even at the full price. Quiet, cool operation. This PSU barely gets warm and can't be heard over my 3 other 120mm fans (all rated between 19-25dB.) Plenty of sleeved connectors and packed with 5 zip ties, I have plenty of zip ties anyway, but it's nice to have them packed in with a PSU.
Cons: This really doesn't have any cons. However, since I don't want to leave this field blank I'll say this: It has a warming label to ensure you 'select correct voltage' and you can not select a voltage as it detects the input automatically.
Other Thoughts: It's 80-plus bronze certified according to the 80-plus web site. My old PSU was hotter when idling than this is after 3 hours of gaming. All the heat is just wasted energy. I don't think of myself as a 'green' person but I did the math and an efficient PSU is going to pay for itself rather quickly. Considering many stock supplies are around 65% efficient, that can be a significant waste of energy and money.

Cons: DOA, had to pay return shipping. So it cost me $12 and no power supply.
Other Thoughts: The other parts for the build have been working great so far.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: This is a freaking amazing power supply for the price. I got it when it was $49.99 and it was a steal with a single rail at 41 amps.
It powers my dual core 2.8 ghz regor processor, 4GB of ram, 500GB HDD and GTS 250 video card wonderfully!
Cons: it weighs a ton! which isn't really a con because good PSU's weigh a lot, just make sure your case won't break.
Other Thoughts: By the way, it's 530W continous, 630W max. almost all power supplies you see that don't say continous can only put out the power they say for about 1-2 minutes. Take off 100-150 watts and that's the actual continous power.
