3 out of 5 eggsDimensions

Pros: I was needing an upgraded power supply for an Enlight 7180 case. This was the closest in dimensions that I had found.
The measurements I made when I received it are: H 55.5mm/2.2" (not including the fan protrusion which adds 8mm/0.3") W 83.6mm/3.25" and L 145.5mm/5.75" This agrees with the dimensions given in the sales description. See below for further thoughts about this. It has an 80mm fan.

Cons: I had expected the unit to be longer which would require cutting off a tab but it is also not as high and not as wide. That is why actual dimensions were important to me. A number of the power supplies listed as TFX and SFX have non standard shapes and sizes and some of the dimensions given don't agree with the picture of the unit.

Other Thoughts: Still, it is 300W and has a 24pin motherboard connection where the Enlight had only 150 watts and a 20 pin motherboard connection. If I don't find anything that comes closer to the dimensions I need, I may just modify the case to make it fit.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall and sleek

Pros: This power supply is very small

Cons: This PSU was to small for my case

Other Thoughts: The fact that this was to small was my fault not the description or the seller.

This is designed for specific cases

4 out of 5 eggsRosewill R379-M case PSU replacement

Pros: The original one that came in my case lasted through 6 years of nearly continuous use. It runs quietly, can only hear it if I shut off the other fans in the case. The new one has one more SATA drive connector and one less molex, and it still has a 3.5 floppy drive connector. Are those still used for anything?

Cons: The original didn't run forever.

Other Thoughts: The R379 Is still a good case, so I decided to replace the PS rather than scrap it. Considered fitting a larger TFX style unit into it, but doing so would block the only case fan.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill R379-M case PSU replacement

Pros: My customer managed to kill the PSU in their 'puter (that I custom built them in 2011)- by dropping the entire computer case onto a concrete floor.

The Rosewill R379-M case wasn't damaged, but the PSU took the brunt of the hit. The PSU didn't make it... :(

I was worried about matching this small footprint- but this was the identical replacement.

Cons: Won't survive a 6' drop onto a concrete floor...

Other Thoughts: All cables seem to be the perfect length for my slimline MicroATX case.

This PSU is running a Core2 Dual Core E8400 mounted on an nVidia E7AUM-DS2H with GeForce9400 graphics. That board requires a lotta power.

..in addition to a WD Caviar Black HDD, a Mushkin SSD, a DVD and a 3.5 floppydisc.

Runs perfectly for me.
Never had a problem.

Pros: small size

Cons: lasted 90 seconds and died. I was replacing a 250w PS with this one, it should have been fine.

3 out of 5 eggsSome good features, but short cables &

Pros: I've been using this power supply as a replacement for the unit in my Dell Inspiron 531s since May 2011. Still works and still runs quietly. The connectors are better than the OEM unit; this has a 20+4 main connector and both SATA & Molex connectors. The Molex connectors made it easier for me to use an IDE hard drive with IDE-SATA adaptor in this system.

Cons: The CPU power cable was too short, so I had to spend another $5 on an extension cable. The system is unstable at max load and does experience abrupt shutdowns. Currently my system is maxed out with 4GB RAM, a GeForce 210 video card and an HDTV wonder tuner. The shutdowns seem to occur when the memory is maxed out or when I'm trying to watch TV. Definitely seems like this unit would need to put out more than 300W to meet my needs.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay power supply, wish it put out a little more power...

Pros: I've been using this power supply as a replacement and marginal upgrade for the OEM power supply in a Dell inspiron 531S. The system is maxed out on RAM with a single hard drive. The power supply has been pretty reliable in frequent use since May 2011. It runs quietly too. The connector is a 20+4 pin arrangement (better than the 24 pins on the stock PSU) and there are molex connectors present which came in handy when I was using an IDE hard drive with an IDE-SATA adapter inside my case.

Cons: The CPU fan power connector is shorter than on the stock PSU, so I had to get an extender cable for around $5 to hook it up to my motherboard. I've also had issues with the machine shutting down on occasion. This usually seems to happen when I try to watch TV on my HDTV tuner.
