3 out of 5 eggsRosewill RHB-510 USB HUB

Pros: East to install, no issues at all. Looks nice very functional. I have had pretty good luck with some Rosewill stuff.

Cons: Even tho the unit is powered if you turn the computer off it to is dead. No walking off and leaving your cell to charge. That was one of the main reasons I bought it. I returned it because of this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat hub, small size

Pros: This product has 10 ports in an impressively small package. If you're looking for an unobtrusive USB hub, this is the best one to get. Although the pictures may not show it, the top (center?) USB port does, in fact, extend vertically (perpendicular to the plane of the desk) and is NOT limited to the 45 degree angle some pictures may show.

I personally find the layout of 3 ports per 3 sides to be useful, as I originally purchased this hub with the intend to plug my keyboard and mouse into a central point to alleviate the cable mess winding around to the back of my workstation. I can now tuck the hub--and the cables!--behind my monitors, safely out of the way.

I have to reiterate the same point: The device is tiny. If you're looking for a USB hub that doesn't take up a lot of space, this is the perfect buy. It's also stylish and matches well with my other hardware. In fact, I think this is probably one of the most attractive hubs on the market--if not the only one.

Cons: These are mild nit picks but not enough to knock an egg off.

The hub uses the same piano black high gloss finish almost all consumer electronics seem to be migrating to with all of the same drawbacks. The surface scratches very easily and readily collects/shows dust. Just the act of removing the side panel to my workstations caused it to attract a few clumps of those mysterious dust bunnies that collect inside computer cases. To be fair, I hadn't blown out the computer for a few months. If you're a neat freak, this might drive you insane.

The hub isn't powered by the host system's USB and requires a separate adapter. The AC adapter is huge--or at least much bigger than I expected for the size of this device--and is at least as big if not bigger than the larger wall worts I have plugged into my power strip and UPS.

Other Thoughts: The power LED on the device is a bright blue. I happen to love the blue LED indicators, but I'm aware that this may be a minor detraction to some potential buyers. It only seems intensely illuminated either directly overhead or at a shallow viewing angle. You might need electrical tape if you don't like this sort of thing.

The device is incredibly small--smaller than the pictures lead you to believe. It is also quite short--the height profile is much shorter than I expected. This is good, though, because I wanted a *small* USB hub that I could place under or between my dual monitor set up. I specifically purchased this hub because of it's small footprint, and I was pleased to discover that it was quite a lot smaller than I expected. If you have little desk real estate to spare or don't want a hub that takes up much room, this device is perfect.

It also doesn't seem to run warm to the touch which is a bonus since I don't intend to power it off or unplug it.

Pros: Just plug it in and it works. 10 powered ports in a nice little package. Flat and easy to stack.

Cons: Bright blue light is kind of useless, but just stack something on top of it.

5 out of 5 eggsTons of ports

Pros: Tons of ports, top center one great for thumb drive or USB dongle.

Cons: Mess of wires shooting out in all directions. Looks like an nine legged octopus.

Other Thoughts: Great if you are like me and only wish to have one USB plugged into the Notebook computer.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Plug & Play, it works. Easy set up. Slick & Pretty

Cons: Wires sticking out in all directions, Blue On lite kinda bright. Needs a small lite @ each port for in use.

Other Thoughts: If you need lots of ports, this is the bomb. Hope Rosewill uses the same format with 3.0 usb Hub
