1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing Construction

Pros: Small size. 3.0 connectivity.

Cons: Large power adapter. The USB connector on the back (to the computer) has become unreliable. Its connection to the internal circuit board is loose.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Compatible with Hard Drives

Pros: - Great price
- Compact
- USB 3.0 speed

Cons: - Does not work with 3TB external hard drive
- Does not work Uspeed hard drive docking station with 1.5 TB HDD

Other Thoughts: It works well with USB 3.0 flash drives and memory card readers.
It does not work well or not at all with my USB 3.0 external hard drive (Seagate 3TB) and Uspeed docking station with a Seagate 1.5TB drive loaded.

When connected to the Seagate 3TB drive, the connection can be hit and miss. When connected to the Uspeed USB 3.0/eSATA docking station, the drive was not accessible and the Windows wanted to format it. Connecting the 3TB Seagate external hard drive or the Uspeed dock to the USB 3.0 port on the motherboard directly solved the problem.

Did I receive a defective product? Is there a firmware update for this hub?

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Works for me. Fast (as expected); no problems so far. I have a lot of Rosewill devices and most of them work well for me. If this one acts any differently I will write an update. I like the blue light and it is positioned on the back.

Cons: None. Some people may not like the blue light.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA +

Pros: I like Rosewill product and normally they are great.

Cons: I bought this and the first time I plugged it into my PC, my mouse which was plugged into a different USB port and was working just fine, stopped working. Just like that. I unplugged the Rosewill and rebooted my PC. The mouse did not recover. I used different ports, but no go. My USB keyboard on the other hand was still functioning till later that night and it also stopped working. I again rebooted, re imaged my PC with a known good back up, reset the BIOS, and nothing could bring my mouse or keyboard back to life.

I will RMA this item.

Other Thoughts: I've never heard of something like this before. I checked online and didn't find any similar stories. I am going to pick up a USB mouse today and see if its the ports that got fried, or my mouse and keyboard. Rosewill support, have you ever heard anything like this?

1 out of 5 eggsKilled my USB mouse

Pros: I like Rosewill product. Good price.

Cons: Somehow when I plugged this unit into my PC, it made my mouse inoperative. My keyboard is still alive. I tried switching the ports on my PC and the mouse stayed dead.

Other Thoughts: PC doesn’t even see the USB hub. All the USB hub did was killing my mouse. The light on the hub comes on and seems like it should be working, but it does not. Will have to RMA it. Rosewill technical support, any ideas???

5 out of 5 eggsHub Plus

Pros: Seamless, flawless - I can SEE it, but it is just an extension of the MB (Yes, very ZEN). Separate power supply for it so even insane devices have power

Cons: None. Zero. Nil. Nada.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall, compact and well-priced USB 3.0 Hub

Pros: This HUB works perfectly fine at full USB 3.0 speeds. I used ATTO Disk Benchmark with a 3TB Western Digital Green HD inside an external enclosure to test this hub. I connected a short, 3-foot USB 3.0 cable directly to the hard drive's enclosure, ran the benchmark, then connected the hard drive's enclosure to the hub and repeated the test. The hub performed equally well as the directly connected cable.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The Hub comes with a perfectly good 3-foot USB 3.0 cable, but the cable is a bit short for my needs, so I purchased a 6-foot USB 3.0 cable (see Item #N82E16812705027). The hub also comes with a 5V, 3.5A power supply, which is a bonus. I definitely recommend this hub.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill RHB-620 (RIUH-11002) 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub

Pros: Plugged it into one of my 54mm Nec/Renesas express card usb 3.0 ports. Plugged my 3 fantom drives innto the ports. 2 were gforce3 and 1 was the gforce3 green drive. Immediately reccognized them on my WIN 7 64 bit HP DV6 system without issues so far.. Tim will tell about the qualit and life of it.

Cons: none so far..

Other Thoughts: wish I bought another while it was on sale for 20bucks.

5 out of 5 eggsTechwise, Learn to read

Pros: I have this same one, but the USB 2 version

Cons: Doesn't pay my bills

Other Thoughts: Previous poster said that the description doesn't specify cord length, when it does. learn to read. I am only giving this 5 ratings because the USB 2 version was/is awesome, have had for 2 years, no problems. The power issue with the other poster was they are 2 USB POWERED devices, and you can't power 2 devices on the same hub. If you were to use, say a mouse, keyboard, and memory card reader, then no problem, as they don't require high power to use.

3 out of 5 eggsPower is lacking

Pros: Small sleek, lives up to USB 3 speeds.

Cons: It seems this device doesn't have enough power to power more than one device. I bought this to use with a new wireless headset and a new USB 3.0 external hard drive.
When I plug in my hard drive the headset transmitter will stop working until I unplug the hard drive. If I plug the headset transmitter in after the hard drive it won't connect to the headset.

Other Thoughts: Because of the issues with power I have to crawl under my desk to plug and unplug my devices each day, which is the reason I bought this originally. I will now have to buy an additional USB hub just so I can do what I wanted to in the first place.
