Pros: Good when it works. And it does work most of the time.

Cons: Random disconnects at least every 2-3 days. Most of the time it'll come back online after interrupting whatever you were copying to the USB HDD. Occasionally it gets stuck and needs a hard reset to get it working again. I have to disconnect everything from the hub and reconnect it for the hub to start working again.

Works better WITHOUT the power adapter. At least then, the OS can cut the power to the hub and force a soft reset. But when connected to the power brick, the hub will happily remember whatever bad state it got in despite the OS's best attempt to reset it.

Other Thoughts: Without opening it up for a look, the VID_05E3&PID_0612 is possibly a Genesys Logic chip.

Got this as a replacement for "Tek Republic TUH-3400 Aluminum USB 3.0 4 Port Hub with 3A Power Adapter" which got progressively more flakey until it fried itself.

Pros: Contacted Rosewill and they responded very quickly.
And satisfied the RMA better than many other companies.

Cons: Absolutely none

Other Thoughts: I have purchased a number of Rosewill products and will continue.

Pros: I connected this device and it worked as advertised, used with external hard drives.
No issues with windows 7 or 10

Cons: The ports were touchy at first, hat to pull and reinstall the cable several times to get a solid connection.
I have a Microsoft USB 1.1 hub from 1998 that still works, looks like my expectations were more than this USB 3 device was capable of handling.

Other Thoughts: I have contacted Rosewill, now to see how there customer service handles this issue.
I will follow up Pro or Con based on actions.

Pros: The 3.5A power adapter is great. I have it powering a Raspberry Pi, a Cubieboard 2, and two WD My Passport HDs.

Cons: One of the ports arrived with the metal a little bent inside, but it still worked fine. The blue light is a little on the bright side at night.

Pros: USB 2.0 & 3.0 plug and work like a dream, will work with out the external power.

Cons: None that I have found

Other Thoughts: Good value, nice blue nite lite also

Pros: Cheap, easy to use, worked great for almost 2 years.

Cons: Failed too soon.

Other Thoughts: Failed after 18 months or so. Only sign of errors was random problems with various programs and "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk6\DR6" in Win7 event log. Switching ports worked for a little while, then errors returned.

Different hub (another manufacturer) resolved issues.

Also note that, as packaged, I believe this items does not comply with US warranty laws. There is no statement of warranty included.

Pros: None

Cons: Never worked all that well, 1 USB port was DOA, the others had intermittent disconnects and / or slower than USB 2.0 speeds. All files transferred using it wound up corrupted (movies would be missing frames or wouldn't play at all).

Other Thoughts: Not worth the time to RMA it, I just took it as a lesson to never buy Rosewill for delicate tech.

Pros: Small profile, aesthetically demur. The device is minimalistic and I like the 60s-refrigerator look as a counterbalance to the blinkenlights of most modern tech products.

Cons: The power connection drops out on its own periodically, severing the USB connection between device and computer. This makes it too dangerous to use for hard drives or even game controllers. A long file transfer (20+ minutes) to an external HD is guaranteed to fail, risking drive corruption and data loss.

Other Thoughts: Being so lightweight, the device will be pushed around by the cables connected to it; this is probably a pro for some and a con for others.

Pros: Small, fast for small transfers, powered

Cons: Hangs the computer during heavy transfers. I couldn't figure out why my normally-stable computer started hanging frequently, until I saw the USB hub disappear from the device manager just before the machine hung. Transferring several hundred GB to a USB disk on the hub inevitably hung the machine at some point during the transfer. I always had to reset the machine to get it back. Makes me wonder if it was silently corrupting any of the lighter transfers that didn't crash the machine.

Pros: usb 3.0 hub.

Cons: unable to handle more than 2 high speed devices that are 3.0 rated. not reliable for backup use as this will hang the backup operation.
Be careful, no real warranty, they have you send it in for replacement and then loose it. the only way to get this replaced is to buy a new one.

Other Thoughts: had to bypass this hub every time I wanted to backup my data.
would be nice to have power boost to charge usb devices.
