Rosewill 25GB 4X BD-R 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model RCDM-10007 - OEM

Pros: Considering the high failure rate, I can't think of any pros.

Cons: Like many others have said, half the discs are bad. They burned successfully but now, not even six months later, half are bad and the rest are showing signs of failure. Lost important (legitimate) data I will never be able to recover and I'm out the money I spent on these discs. As well as the time wasted burning them initially and now trying (and failing) to recover data from the failed discs. I've never had disc failures like this. Not with any other brand of blu-ray blanks, DVD blanks, or even CD blanks back in the day.

Other Thoughts: Would like a refund. Will definitely share my experience to make sure others avoid Rosewill products. Will never buy Rosewill products again.

Pros: Cheap, but worthless if won't pass calibration.

Cons: No faith in Rosewell products after this experience. I have not yet been able to have a successful burn out of 5 last disks have tried in my LiteOn. Normally fails calibration and will not even start to burn a session. Did get past calibration once and burn still failed less than 50% complete. Tried down to 2x speed with same results. Biggest waste of money I've ever spent. Normally use Memorex and will be from now on!

Pros: LIKE...? OH, EMM, GEE!?!? THIS THING IS AMAZING!!!
AND ANOTHER 15 BUX WELL SPENT AND RE-ORDERED.

SO LIKE, I JUST RECEIVED THE PACKAGE ON 9/14/12 (FRIDAY) FROM NEWEGG, THE LITE-ON BD-R DRIVE WITH A FEW OTHER THINGS TOO BUT ALSO THIS 1 - 25 PACK OF THESE BABIES AND LIKE, I'VE BEEN QUITE BUSY BURNING ALL WEEKEND LONG BACKING UP MY 3 - 1.5TB DRIVES WHICH WAS NICE HAVING A LOT OF STUFF ONLINE ALWAYS BUT WASN'T ALWAYS NECESSARY EITHER... SUCH A RELIEF! I JUST CREATED ABOUT 500GB'S OF SPACE AND JUST ORDERED ANOTHER 25 PACK. THANK YOU NEWEGG, I JUST NEWEGGED IT YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST IN MY BOOK!

Cons: THE ONLY CON HERE IS THAT THE 50GB DL MEDIA IS STILL WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MY BLOOD AND WAS HOPING TO GO THAT ROUTE INSTEAD BUT I CAN HOLD OFF A BIT LONGER UNTIL PRICES DROP CONSIDERABLY OR I HIT THE LOTTERY JACKPOT... BUT I DO NOT SEE THE LATTER HAPPENING ANYTIME TOO SOON SINCE I DO NOT PLAY IT.

Other Thoughts: IT WAS EITHER BUYING ANOTHER LARGE HDD, LIKE AT LEAST A 3TB OR GETTING A NEW BD-R DRIVE BUT AFTER ALL, THIS HAS WORKED QUITE WELL FOR ME.

I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT COMPLAIN AT ALL AND I DO HIGLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WITH A BD-R BURNER BECAUSE IT IS SIMPLY EGGCELLENT!

Pros: This is the 4th time I've purchased these blank BD-Rs...these burn as good as the name brand discs that I've also bought --- but I don't have to pay nearly as much for these!!

Other Thoughts: When these are on Sale for $14.99 per 25 pack, it amounts to $0.60 per blank ---- add a Discount Code on top of that, it makes buying them an even better deal!! As I mentioned before, this is the 4th time I've purchased these, had problems with defective discs the 1st time around - was given a Refund. I also contacted Rosewill when I had the problem, ever since then, NO problems whatsoever! I have NO problem recommending these and will buy more when I need them! I would say that Rosewill must have corrected whatever problems they had with their Quality Control on these.

Pros: I purchased the 5 pack limit when I found them on Sale and also was able to use a Discount Code, so I got them for a really great price! I have not had any problem writing to these when I use them to back-up my Blu-Ray Movies -- now when I lend them out, I don't have to worry about my originals getting damaged from soneone's carelessness..

Cons: I wish that I could've used the Discount Code more than once ---- I guess that I'm being greedy...? It is great to find them on Sale, especially if a discount code can be used too!!

Other Thoughts: In case you're wondering what programs I use to burn with and what BD-R drives I use....DVDFab 8/ImgBurn & I have 2 LG drives, WH10LS30 & WH12LS38 -- both drives read/write any brand media that I throw at them without any problems! When I back up my Movies, I use 1 drive to Read, the other to Write, that way I can walk away from my PC and know that I don't have to check back to swap discs like I would if I only had 1 drive. The first time I bought these, I ordered 2 - 25 packs and had to return them because they had specks/lines on them so they were defective & I received my $ back. The 2nd & 3rd orders and I've had no problems -- I visually inspected each disc to spot imperfections in the dye surface......no problems!

Pros: Used to be good

Cons: Used to be OK. I bought 50 discs and 50% are bad. By looking at the discs you can tell some of them the color are not even. Stay away. I have good results with Opiical Quantum. I have problems with Ridata and Memorex too.

Pros: I've burned about 30 of these disks with absolutely no failures or errors. Most of the disks were more than the aforementioned 19.9GB...several of them were within a few dozen megabytes of being completely filled.

I do like that the label side is blank. This makes the disks look more clean no matter how you label them.

Cons: Only 4x...but at this price, expecting any more would be greedy.

Other Thoughts: It would have been nice to have finished burning disks faster, but that's what you get for choosing to go on the cheap end. No regrets whatsoever about buying these disks.

Other Thoughts: I really think the issue depends on burners, I was having some issues with my Pioneer (2x) in general and decided to give an LG a try due to a good sale. These discs get 90-95% perfect burns, been burning movies mostly so it is really easy to manually test if the files are corrupted, all that pass verification run flawlessly, no video or audio glitches. If you find a drive that like these you can save a lot of money if you spend a lot on blank media.

This is the burning software I use: CDBurnerXP, I use others now and then but I've been liking this one more as of late for generic BD-R burns.

Pros: .....Well, I wrote an ealier review on 2 25 packs I purchased (7-25-12) that I returned due to spotting and discolorization on the dye surface. I was very disappointed with that purchase.....but I rec'd. an Emal for 20% off any BD-R media, so decided to take a chance and try them again since I was paying $12/25 pack w/free ship ---- so I bought the 5 pack limit. This time when I opened the packs (all 5), every disc looked to be perfect ---- no funny colors or spots! Makes me wish I had ordered more of them or had a friend order some for me!
A note to CMA (posted 7-28-12)....him comment about only using 19GB of the usiable 23.3GB available.....unless the media has defects on the outside, there is NO and I mean NO reason that you can't use all of the 23.3GB space available!! I would disregard his comments using only 19GB ---- maybe that all his software will allow? I use DVDFab & ImgBurn & I don't have problems! Also, I have LG WH10LS30 & LG WH12LS38 BLU-RAY drives.

Cons: ....wish that I had a discount code to buy more of these for the same price I paid the 2nd time around!

Other Thoughts: .......I really, really hope that Rosewill has gotten their Quality Control act together! As I mentiioned in my Review on 7-5-12, both Newegg & Rosewill were very willing to resolve my problem with the bad discs that I had -- I ended up receiving my $ back, but I had to pay for the return shipping to Newegg which I don't that I should have had to pay......
Would I buy these again? .....I am inclined to when they are on Sale --- but I find that Newegg's policy for Returns/Refunds on blank BD-R media is goofy, to say the least. Once a pack is opened, you can't return them (unless you make a phone call) but how can you know if they are defective UNLESS you open the pack to inspect them?? I could see this if you've burned half of them....I ALWAYS INSPECT each disc once I open a pack --- it isn't that time consuming, at least I can see any obvious defects on the recording surface ---- better to find bad spots BEFORE I make a recording!

Pros: Almost always the lowest priced. No coasters unless I screw up.

Cons: Burns really slow at 4x, but not the fault of the discs, it is of course 4x.

Other Thoughts: I use Nero Vision and Nero Express 10 to burn to these discs. The ONLY coasters I've produced is attempting to 'over burn'
