1 out of 5 eggsFried within a few weeks

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD600 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Not much to say. It worked for a while.

Cons: I'm not entirely sure what to think. It crashed while it was running an older game, and after it tripped a breaker, it ended up making a spark and some smoke after we tried to reset the breaker, and did so on an attempt to plug it into another wall socket.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD600 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: At the time I was buying a power supply for my build this unit was on sale for a really good price. I hastily bought it based on the eggs beside it and did not look at much else. Once I had the unit in my possession I did a little more research on it and became a little worried by some of the reviews. So much so that I went back and purchased extra protection on it just in case it does go bad. I am happy to report that I have connected it and done a components test with the mobo and have even assembled everything and run it again and the unit seems quiet and strong. So far so good.

Cons: I did not know what modular meant when I was purchasing this. I also did not get a case that has good cable management. On of the power supply plugs for the MOBO barely reaches and there is a slew of additional extra power supply plugs that are going to be a pain to allocate in the case. I now fully see the value of a modular power supply. Unfortunately this power supply is not. One egg off.

5 out of 5 eggsPlain, cheap, delivers!

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD600 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Well performing PSU. 600w is enough for most peoples needs. Cables are well sleeved and there's enough connectors to power up a well equipped mainstream computer.

I bought this to power up a machine equipped with an FX-6300 cpu, HD 7970 and 2 hard drives. Run great so far!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Please note that this psu is equipped with 2x6 pins and only one 6+2 pins PCIE connectors. It's not a con, but make sure that there are enough connectors available for the set-up you are building.

1 out of 5 eggsgreat if not melting

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD600 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: plenty of power, sleeved cables, plenty of connections

Cons: died after 3 months of light use -- literarly light use (web browsing, no gaming)

Other Thoughts: the fan died, causing the PSU to smell like burned rubber.
2x 5400rpm HDD, SSD drive, desktop with on board graphics, and a 90W CPU.

come on -- this should have lasted yrs, not months

2 out of 5 eggsLoud fan at full speed

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD600 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Price is good.

Cons: Fan runs at constant full speed. Really loud compared to my other case fans and CPU fan. Pretty sure my PSU is not overheating because the fan is at full blast from the moment I turn on my PC (when its cold). Unplugged all case fans and CPU fan to discover that it was the PSU fan that was really loud in my quiet case (Fractal Design Define Mini).
