3 out of 5 eggsNice while it works, doesn't last long

Pros: Was rather quiet and never had any issues with it.

Cons: However 6 months after the very short 1 year warranty ended, it dies.

1 out of 5 eggsBarely lasted more than a year

Pros: It supplied power for a little over a year.

Cons: I was alerted to this psu's demise as my room began to smell of burnt rubber. Upon opening up my case I found that it was hot enough to burn skin on contact and reeked like it had melted. It did not survive.

I should have expected this, as every Rosewill component that I purchased for this build has been either defective or completely useless. My case arrived dented and with bent screws, my wireless card couldn't hold onto a connection for more than ten minutes, and now this. I am beyond dissatisfied.

Other Thoughts: Will never buy Rosewill again.

2 out of 5 eggsDead after less than 6 months

Pros: Seeing as I was building my first dedicated gaming PC, and went with a kit, I was pretty happy to see a Rosewill PSU being offered. I've always known Rosewill to offer high quality products and this particular PSU had decent ratings. It was pleasantly quiet compared to some PSUs I've had in the past.

Cons: I haven't even had my PC for 6 months, and this PSU died on me with no warning. I never had any notices/warnings that I wasn't getting enough power, or anything. It just wouldn't start one day. I checked over my pc with a fine tooth comb to pinpoint the issue. Tried switching to a different outlet just in case, tried a different cord for the PSU itself, jiggled all the wires to make sure they were fully connected... Eventually I pulled a PSU from an older pc and hooked it up. Everything worked just fine. Sadly, since it came with a kit, my PSU isn't covered by warranty and I'll have to shop around for a new one. Now I'm wondering if this was a fluke, or if I need to stay away from Rosewill.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed after 9 months of use

Pros: For the gaming rig that I bought, this PSU was part of a kit through newegg so I could start off with some decent gear at a decent price. This PSU was up for a great deal within the kit that I bought and had pretty good reviews. I was surprised with how quiet it was in comparison to other PSU's that I have bought in the past. Good starting PSU. Rosewill is a great brand for the price and efficency

Cons: Based on on specs and efficiency that are listed, when I personally tested those specs they fell short by about 10%. After 6 months of use I started getting BSOD messages saying that my PSU was having power shorting issues, however my rig never has had more than a 450W pull from this PSU so this never should have happed. After 9 months of use, in the middle of a game in a very stressful PVP fight on EVE online, the PSU popped, and completely toasted itself. Fortunately it didn't take any of my other componets with it when this happed. Because this PSU was part of a kit, I do not get to RMA this PSU because no warranty was granted at the time of purchase. Be careful with what you purchase if you get a kit and expect to replace you components sooner than later

Other Thoughts: I am usually happy with Rosewill products, and have had no other issue with their products until now. I am a little cautious now to get another one now that this happened and it caused me to loose a very expensive ship in the game that I play.
