2 out of 5 eggsWarning. Fries after warranty

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: Works as advertised...for a year

Cons: Bulky cables, but to be expected from a non-modular supply.
Died after 13 months.

Other Thoughts: PSU fried on month 13. Smoke and nasty smell came with it. It also zapped my hard drive with it. So instead of just replacing the PSU, I had to get a new hard drive and start from scratch.

1 out of 5 eggsNot very good

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: Lots of connectors, fans are very quiet

Cons: bulky cords make it hard to hide

Had a problem with it on day one, I ordered this because after coming back from class the PSU died and wouldn't turn on. I ordered this and it powered my motherboard for a day, then abruptly stopped working. Figured it was the motherboard so I RMA'd that, and when that came in the same thing happened. The paperclip trick didn't even work this time, it just stopped working.

Other Thoughts: Rosewill should just stick with cases and keyboards, because those are pretty darn good quality.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer beware

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: Still under warranty while it broke

Cons: The power supply broke after just under 1 year. Took out my video card, mother board, cooling fans, and processor with it. Extremely dissatisfied, will be avoiding Rosewill in the future.

3 out of 5 eggsLasted 13 months and fried

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: Ran great while it lasted. Did the job it was supposed to. Cheap powersupply. But you get what you pay for.

Cons: Lasted 13 months. As others said, then blew up. Smoke, burning smell, and then nothing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: Large fan to cool it off, lots of cables and cpu/gpu options on this one.

Cons: Hard to actually find a con with a PSU. Lifetime things like that i cant really rate here, we will just have to see.

Other Thoughts: Afraid I learned too late about modular PSU's. This one is good for its price, but if you are more into cable management and less wires, this one will not be what ya want.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: It was 2 years ago that I got this unit in a system from a friend as a B-Day gift.
After 2 years chaos in the war on-line, the system is still running…. Of course, it is getting slow and barely keep up with folks.
This 700W power supply is still running like a rock.
I like its big fan that keep system cool and quiet.

Cons: After 2 years running, the only complaint is “heavy”. It is pain for my back to move the system around.

Other Thoughts: After 2 years running this system, it is time to upgrade it.
It is a dilemma if this 700W should be replaced, because it is still running smooth and no problem so far.
If I have to change a new power supply, I might still get this RD700 again, and put the old one as a back up.

1 out of 5 eggsdo NOT buy

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: None.

Cons: I have only had this for 14 months before it exploded. Randomly it decided it didn't want to work and shot out a spark and heated up

Other Thoughts: Super disappointed especially when it estimates its life span to be 11 years. Never buying from rose will again.

1 out of 5 eggsa year and my room smelled like electrical burn

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply

Pros: Not too many, died in a year, didn't use it that much.

Cons: My whole room smelled like electrical burn. Didn't last long, i hope my other parts are good. Got the cx600. Atleast they're reliable.
