5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Quiet, well made quality, good airflow, adequate cable length for huge system, decent 12V output for power hungry SLI VGAs.

Cons: Should check newegg earlier before place order.... Pay higher $$$ from other website for this same PSU... :- (

Other Thoughts: I learn the lesson. Always search computer stuffs from newegg. They got the best deal for all computer parts- not even to mention when stuffs on promotion.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent So Far

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Great price. Delivers stable power. My build is as follows:
Fx8350, 2x Radeon 7850, 3x Internal HDD and 1x SSD, 1x BluRay Drive, 4 case fans, multiple USB ports. Haven't had a single problem so far.

Cons: One mounting hole does not align well the hole on the case. Not sure which is to blame. Case or power supply?

3 out of 5 eggsgood but not excellent.

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: pro would be that it has a good price tag and looks amazing!

Cons: cons would be that it is somewhat loud and was a pain to install, wires really long for a mid-case.

Other Thoughts: other than wires and the difficulty installing in case, its an okay buy!

2 out of 5 eggsNot so good

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: The power supply did work perfectly for a number of months and has plenty of connections to work for most power configurations.

Cons: Unfortunately I bought mine in Nov of '13 and less than 7 months later the power supply has just died out of the blue after powering my computer down. I tried another power supply just to see if it was other components since the led on the motherboard was still lit when the Rosewill supply was hooked up. The other power supply booted the system right up. Very disappointed because usually Rosewill products work well for me.

Other Thoughts: This is not a system that is on all the time so the supply was not being put to the test by any means. Definitely going to give it a second thought before purchasing another power supply with Rosewill.

5 out of 5 eggsMy second RD700

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: This is the second one I just got. The first one was given by a geek a year ago.
Since the first one was punished by heavy running 24/7 in the war for whole year without problem (and still up and running now), I purchased myself a new one for my next gig.
Just like the first one. It works out of the box. Everything fit into place and runs very smooth.
The big fan runs quiet and move lots of heat out when gaming.

Cons: It could be even better if it is modular.

Other Thoughts: It is a good reliable budget 700W power supply that has quality with plenty of connections, runs quiet and cool.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Cheap - but it will die within 1 year.

Was never on 24/7.

5 out of 5 eggsNICE!! Great Deal!!

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: I've spent good money and bought some very expensive power supplies to build high-end graphic and multiple-SLI-Cross Fire display computers for my high end clients.
I am very happy with the quality and performance of the new RD700 power supply that I just bought. I had my doubts when I ordered the power supply because the pricing is just 1/2 of what I normally paid.
The cables and connectors used in this power supply are very strong and of good quality. The fan is also of good quality ball-bearing fan. The user manual and product specification is accurate. I have very good results with this power supply. After I fire up the system, I ran diagnostic software to examine the system and multiple VGA. They check out excellently and run smoothly.
I would definitely recommend this power supply to anyone for both performance and economical aspects.

Cons: So far so good. System is running well.

1 out of 5 eggsRD700 Very Bad

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: none

Cons: This unit was a replacement for a power supply (same model) which failed in less than a year.

Then THIS UNIT FAILED IN LESS THAN 90 DAYS.

3 out of 5 eggsshould have baught something else

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD700 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: It works

Cons: Build quality is meh - one of the sides of the PSU case is sticking out a good 4 mm out of the rest of the box.

Fan is LOUD. It's not grinding yet but it's this pretty loud hiss (not high pitched, but still). Perhaps it could be a plus but the system only has 4 hdd's and i5. Not even a dedicated vgs.

Other Thoughts: Hope it wouldn't fail any times soon. Even for $65 there are better PSU.
