5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: It is a nice inexpensive PSU that is modular and has support for future expansion. Cables are long enough for my full size case and they are sleeved nicely. I am pulling 700W from the wall measured with a "P3 Kill A Watt" when I am benching at 100% utilization and this PSU doesn't even get warm to the touch...impressive.

Cons: None yet...

Other Thoughts: When I purchased it I had no need for two 8-pin CPU power connectors, but now I do so this has proven to be future proof in my case at least.

1 out of 5 eggsQuality Control?

Pros: Cheaper.

Cons: Heavy.
Does not work.

Other Thoughts: Got one 2 weeks ago. Was faulty (did not even start).
Receive an other one, and this one is still faulty.
Is there a problem with control quality or am I totally unlucky?

5 out of 5 eggsSmall touches matter

Pros: Just unpacked, installed and tested the basics.

Build quality is nice, from the textured metal casing, included zip ties, thumbscrews for mounting, parts bag, all add up to make it a nice overall experience.

Still pending some longer-term testing but out of the box the experience is strong.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsBest Value

Pros: Cold. Cheap. Efficient. Modular.

Cons: Some people say it is loud. I think its totally acceptable.

Other Thoughts: Cable management was very easy. This thing has awesome power potential and stays at reasonable temps. My case has a dust filter for it that may help keep it quieter than other reviewers have said.

5 out of 5 eggssingle rail 12V -yes

Pros: can you say lots of power. Works great, probably overkill for my build. Power is not a constraint.... Can run 2 R9-270X's in crossfire, overclock, 9 case fans and water cooler and this thing never even blinks.

Cons: it's big and uses a lot of power? Physically, it's big make sure your case is big enough.

2 out of 5 eggsCRAPSTONE!

Pros: Lots of modular cabling
8 Pin PCI-E wires
Enough Power for dual GPU + some left over

Cons: Noisy at Idle and even worse under load!
Fried a pair of 5870's when the unit died!
After 4 months of use I came home to my PC
not on? I tried to restart and only got one click noise.
After that the power light on the mobo went dim.
It took down a pair of older reference 5870's with it
which really ticked me off. I know they are old GPU's
but they still were cranking fine and the two together could
still max most games at 1080P.

I guess I am just thankful it did not destroy my mobo or anything else.

Other Thoughts: You would think a 1000w 80+ gold PSU that retails for $200 would last longer than 4 months.

I knew going in that Rosewill is a lower end brand but have had good experiences in the past with a lot of there other items (Heat SInks, Fans, etc..) If this is Rosewill trying to make a name for themselves and move into higher end products then they certainly need to do a little better on quality control.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks good

Pros: Heavy duty looking, powers up great, packaging was good

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: I am praying that only the other power supply I bought from this brand was just a bad one. This one looks much better, and the other rosewill products I have received have been just fine. If this one works well it will take the bad taste out of my mouth from the HIVE version I tried. It looks good and works good so far. Love the modular cables to give the computer a sleeker look.

5 out of 5 eggsit's a PSU

Pros: I realized I needed a better PSU after my computer kept shutting down once I installed my liquid cooler and started over clocking my cpu. Found this one after some searching and bought it anyways even after reading all the reviews. You really can't beat the price for a 1000watt gold rated PSU. I installed it face down like everyone said not to (because if it's face up it blows straight into my gpu) and so far that's worked out but like I said I've only had it a day. Long story short my cpu is now running at 4.4 ghz with no issues whatsoever. Will update this if something breaks.

Cons: Well I'm scared it will break, especially because it's face down, but time will tell if that fear is justified.

Other Thoughts: My build:

Nxzt phantom 410
Rosewill 1000 watt
Corsair H100i
Sapphire R9 290x
AMD 4100 @4.4ghz
Intel 250gb ssd and 1tb hdd

1 out of 5 eggsSimply Unacceptable

Pros: Relatively quiet for the time that it did last....

Cons: My first unit only lasted a month and a half. In that time, I did notice it showed inconsistencies powering on my computer even though my computer is rated at 600 watts. Eventually it stopped working all together. I ended up getting a brand new one from newegg return policy which was DOA. I spent close to $150 on a faulty product and refuse to spend a single more cent in Roswill PSU. I recommend not buying this product.

Other Thoughts: My secondary computer has a non modular Rosewill Fortress. It has not crapped out on me yet. If you are looking for a rosewill product check them out and DO NOT buy the Capstone series.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good price, and good features. Was packaged really well and included a lot of cables.

Cons: A little metal piece fell out of the power supply when I opened up. This may be from poor shipping handling rather than the manufacturers.
