Pros: There is no driver disc included with this device it is automatically recognized by Windows 7. I had installed another device the same day that utilized a driver disc. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Pros: A couple of minutes to install the 3 1/2” adapter into the 5 ½” adapter and install the 5 ½” adapter into my case. Installed the Windows 7 drivers from the included disc. Rebooted my ASRock Z97M Pro 4 and set the appropriate SATA port to SSD and hot plug capable. Installed a Samsung 850 EVO in the removable enclosure. Connected the removable enclosure to a USB 3 port and utilized EaseUS Partition Master 10.8 to create a new partition and format the SSD. Left 10% of the disc raw to allow for over-provisioning. Unplugged the removable device from the USB 3 port and plugged it into the previously installed adapter. The drive was immediately recognized by my Windows 7 operating system. Utilizing Casper 8.0 I proceeded to clone my 35 Gigabyte SSD operating system drive to the removable SSD in approximately 2 minutes. Everything worked exactly as advertised.

The fit and finish are excellent and the activity light is a nice touch. The inclusion of a small screwdriver is an added bonus.

Other Thoughts: I really like the flexibility of this device. Even without the adapter if you removed the side cover on a case you were working on and had a couple of SATA cables (data / power) available you could connect it directly to a SATA motherboard to obtain a high speed connection to copy files to a computer that lacked USB 3 connectivity.

Pros: This drive bay and enclosure are awesome. It is the perfect portable external hdd\ssd that transfers at full spec speed, but also allows you to use it in a desktop as storage or for backup's which you can conveniently pop out and take with you or store somewhere for safe keeping if desired.

Cons: Cost money.
Doesn't make me breakfast.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if you can hot swap the drive. Did not see anything in the description about it so have not tried myself.(Yet)

as a portable case for my ssd, it works fine as expected, solid built and easy installation with both laptop and desk top.

For may desktop, the 2 adapter comes very useful. I only used the 3.5 floppy bay adapter, and i no longer need to use the cable any more, very good design, l really like it.

The performance is as described, it supports sata III hdd, and data transfer rate meets USB 3 as well.

So far so good, highly recommend.

Cons: Worked in sata mode for about an hour. Didn't work at all using usb. Exchanged HD to make sure that wasn't the Problem. Still didn't work. Kept shutting down my pc power when I tried to do anything with it. Too Bad, good concept if it worked. Requested refund.

Pros: woooow, this is the first product in this kind, really good idea and concept.

First of all, it is a decent portable HDD enclosure for 2.5" HDD or SSD. Just like any other external HDD enclosures, works with a USB 3 cable and it reaches USB 3 speed. I am using it with my Windows 8.1, connects right away, and transfers a lot data without any issue.

and then, the 3.5" and 5.25" adapters that comes with it makes this portable enclosure really easy to use with my desktop, i can just keep the cable in my bag, only to insert it in the adapter, super super easy. I am use the 5.25" bay right now, overall design is creative, the blue LED in front is nice. i just love it.
