1 out of 5 eggsShocked!

Pros: Versitility is good. PS2 or USB fuctionality is a nice and you can use hotkeys or button switching. Has auto scan feature too.

Cons: I was shocked to find that this kit only included 12" ps2 cables and had no video or usb cables. Details on the product do not state that these are not included or that you are required to purchase them seperately. Buying this unit means you will have to buy 8 PS2 extensions, 4 USB (A to B) and 4 DVI cables to get it functional. Requires power adapter. No audio is on it.

Other Thoughts: Normally when you buy a KVM set, everything you need is included. I would have given this a much higher rating if I had known going into it that it did not included the cables required. Considering the cables all have to be bought seperately, I think I paid too much for this unit. Unfortunately the versitility this unit offers is way overshadowed by this.

5 out of 5 eggsA Flexible KVM

Pros: Can use either ps2 or usb with this KVM and it switches between them flawlessly

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I see the other reviewer is trying to run a multi-function keyboard through it... I'd have to wonder if he knows how the drivers work on his keyboard...

3 out of 5 eggsNot for advanced keyboards

Pros: It does what it was intended to. There are no dropped keyboard characters, good video quality, and smooth mouse movement.

Cons: No support for advanced keyboards or mice. My function keys and volume control don't work. It doesn't work with an AT keyboard adapter.

Other Thoughts: I was told by tech support that this emulates a basic keyboard. This was expected for USB, but not on the PS/2! Why would it emulate rather than simply passing through a PS2 keyboard is beyond my knowledge. Fortunately I was able to use my old, manual KVM switch for the keyboard. So, I essentially payed $xxx for a VGA switch and USB converter for one computer. I now have a pile of 3 switches at my workstation and 3 mice due to the lack of features. But hey, I only have one keyboard and monitor! This probably works fine for a basic setup, but definitely not if you have anything fancy. I guess I can't complain too much...it's just that I was told by their sales team that this was the one for me. Obviously it wasn't.
