5 out of 5 eggsbetter than expected

Pros: I bought this power supply along with a case in May 2009. I had never heard of the brand, but it was a good deal. I spent the last 6 months blaming this PSU on my overclock problems, but after some real testing, I discovered that I've been wrongly blaming my faithful old PSU, while my *gasp* Gigabyte motherboard was really the culprit. On that note, this PSU has survived almost constant heavy use for over two years, and is still working perfectly. I would probably still buy a Corsair over anything else a this point, but that doesn't change the fact that this thing really gave a lot of bang for its buck, and is about to power a new 990FX setup.

Cons: Still a really obscure brand

1 out of 5 eggsIt was great while it lasted, but unable to contact them.

Pros: -modular power supply makes everything simple

Cons: -No response to company e-mail, and phone number on website doesn't work, instead goes to a prescription refill line.

Other Thoughts: This power supply worked fine until we had a brownout, which, for the record, is something I expect to kill any power supply. That's not my problem. The problem is that xclio has not responded to any of the e-mails I have sent them, and their phone number does not work.
I've tried e-mailing them again, and if I don't hear back I'm giving up and buying a new one from a more reputable company. All they have to do to change me to a satisfied customer is e-mail me back to start the return process, or explain why a return isn't possible. Preferrably the former of course.
I'm very happy with the Xclio case I purchased, but I cannot, and will not reccomend this power supply or this company until I they at least acknowledge my communications.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper

Pros: Very Very roomy, definitely bigger than a mid tower. Ultra big fans really do their thing to keep everything cool.

Cons: The only problem I had was that I did not notice that the front panel was a shutter type so every time I try to eject my cd drive I keep forgetting to open that front panel....Other than that I had no issues.

Other Thoughts: VERY ROOOOOOMY, Easy to assemble

1 out of 5 eggsAnother DOA

Pros: It was modular

Cons: Bad out of box

Other Thoughts: This is the second consecutive new build where I have received a bad PSU. This causes extreme hassles, as I cannot check my new components, including a 4850x2 video card. Weeks will have gone by before before I can fully test my system, and my return window will have expired, This makes me very uneasy. My advice is to pony up a few extra bucks and buy your PSU local when doing a new build.

1 out of 5 eggsIt fried my motherboard

Pros: Modular cables were nice.

Cons: After installing this power supply it blew out my motherboard the first time I turned it on.

Other Thoughts: It ruined my computer and left me with the hassle of returning it along with my Xclio case.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have had this since summer 07 and it has worked great!
Its got plenty of cables and everything you need. Even after I went SLI this thing still has enough power to keep everything going. I Highly recommend!

Cons: After shutdown the PSU makes this high pitched noise for a minute or two and then stops. You can only hear it if its completely quiet in the room. Nothing to fret over.

Other Thoughts: specs:

Q6600 @ 3.2 Ghz
Xclio wind tunnel
4 GB Patriot Extreme ram (drr 1066)
2 8800GTXs in sli
evga 680i mobo

3 out of 5 eggsNot very quiet

Pros: Modular cables are easy to manage, small in size compared to my old vortec 600.

Cons: It is the loudest fan in my system, see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I was hopping for a very quiet system, but the fan of this PSU stands out in terms of noise. My cooling system: Tuniq tower, Xclio Windtunel Full Tower, OCZ memory cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Installed easily.
Doesn't get too hot.
Individual plug/unpluggable power connectors groupings keep stray cords to a minimum.

Cons: Only 2 SATA cord groupings.
Power connectors are not very long. If you have a full case they may end up taught.
Stickers are on upside down. :O

Other Thoughts: So far so good.
