80PLUS Gold 80PLUS Gold is an initiative to promote energy efficiency in computer power supply units (PSU). It certifies products that have more than 87% energy efficiency at 20%, 50% and 100% of rated load, and a power factor of 0.9 or greater at 100% load. That is, PSU that waste 13% or less electric energy as heat at the specified load levels, thus reducing electricity use and bills compared to less efficient PSU.

Cons: Can't blame them, that's why I didn't drop any eggs. It's a little too big to put my fan on the bottom of my case. No doubt that is because of everything being modular. I'm fine with that. Cons: After 5 months the fan started to get loud, I thought nothing of it other than it was a low quality fan in the unit. After 6 months my computer started shutting down randomly for no reason. Died on me last week. Other Thoughts: I understand why it doesn't have a long warranty now. Mine just barely lasted the warranty period. No parts of my computer died with the unit so that's good. The unit has functioned without a hitch, and the fan is virtually silent while in operation. Cons: None. Well this power supply is definitely something I am glad I took a risk on. This thing is amazing, worked right out the box. I set out a list of very specific requirements, 80 plus gold, 750w or greater, single rail, modular, multi gpu support, and short protection. What i found was limited. There were plenty of reliable brands out there, but none were at the price of the Xclio Stablepower. I have no regrets, this thing is amazing in every way. Silent, stable, and solid performance. Everything you could want in a PSU! 5+ Eggs! Cons: I didn't use this brand on my other builds, could have saved me lots of money. Other Thoughts: ASRock Z77 Professional Intel i-3770k @ 4.2ghz Corsair Vengeance 16gb @ 1600 Sapphire Vapor X 7970 Ghz edition 3gb and of course the Xclio StablePower Gold 750W Did you find this review helpful? A lower quality 500W power supply by this manufacturer has lasted me over 7 years and is still going strong. This particular power supply, as did the OCZ, has all the outputs needed for an overclocked Intel i7 gaming computer, all the 12V on one rail, large fan. Cons: Haven't received it yet.
