5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great for what I needed it for, also runs very quiet.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Works great, best of all ended up picking it up when it had a $25 rebate so as far as I'm concerned it was a win win despite some of the negative reviews.

1 out of 5 eggsPlease Just PASS THIS UP

Pros: Very cheap. Highish wattage?

Cons: This thing can NOT go up to 700 watts. I thought it was odd that my brand new computer was randomly shutting down, I knew instantly that it was the (brand new) PSU! First time I've gone with Xion, big regret of mine. I used my Thermaltake PSU tester to see if this thing could really max out at 700 watts, and sure enough the MOST I could get was 550. This thing will not be able to run a simple gaming rig now or ever.

I decided that I would get another within a week, but it didn't last that long. The last time it shut down was literally the last: it died completely. I'm totally dumbfounded. Bought another PSU today, until then I'm computerless. Plus, the rebate is a big hassle to fill out.

Look up reviews on the internet. There are horror stories surrounding this PSU, from frying computers to plenty DOA. There's a REASON why it's so cheap.

I've learned my lesson.

Things you can price skimp on:

RAM (on more simple builds)
Motherboard
Disk Drives
Any computer bays
Cables

And I USED to put PSU on that list! Never again! You don't have to break the bank... But get a Rosewill, seriously...

Other Thoughts: This thing might be fine for a micro ATX computer with no graphics card and no USBs past a keyboard and a mouse. If you are going to be using 400 watts, go ahead and risk purchasing this. It's not even worth trying to return for me.

Pros: Price

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: I have it in a computer working 24/7, it has been two weeks now and i have to say i have not have any issues with it, like always, having proper ventilation with PCs is the key, remember heat will damage anything in a pc

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Ordered two, neither were DOA. That's the best thing I have to say about these power supplies.

Cons: Absolute junk. I would be surprised if these could output more than 400w before overheating and shutting off.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA on arrival & NEWEGG STUCK ME WITH IT, BEWARE

Pros: Since it never powered on once I am unable to give pros to a DOA product.

Cons: PSU came DOA. Plugged into motherboard, got nothing. Then tried three different power supply testers to make sure it was bad and each tester said the power supply was dead, dead on arrival. I Have spent last 15 days trying to get someone at Newegg to help me, They keep sending me back to the fact and question section. I have tried for days to get someone to talk on the live chat thing but all it does is spin and say wait for help for hours.

Other Thoughts: I wish I would have listened to other people when they told me to never order a power supply from newegg because this isn't the first time this has happened. Especially when it comes to power supplies from what I've read they really never get back to people who get bad PSU units. The part that really gets me, I originally ordered everything to build one awesome computer. The first problem I had is that the ram I ordered wasn't in the box and I had to wait an extra week for them to send it to me. That was taken care of by a nice lady via email. But ever since I've told them even the same lady who helped me with the ram about the DOA XION 700 watt power supply they have treated me like I never spent almost a $1,000 at their website. I build hundreds of computers a year and usually order all my hardware from the big easy bay or that other place named after the jungle. I decided to use Newegg for the first time because of the combo deals they have that save a lot of money. I got my i5 4670k Haswell CPU and a Gigabyte motherboard that sells for $250 for $350 for the two. Normally just the CPU alone cost $370 so I really did get one killer deal on that combo, but that doesn't mean I should get a bad deal on the other items I bought. I would rather have paid the full amount and have gotten quality items now that I think about it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear User, we apologied for the problem happened. Pls contact XION service direct to get a replacemnet @19095982600 or visit www.xionusa.com. Tks
