5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Upgrade

Pros: Updgraded my PC and needed a much larger PSU than I was currently using. This one has been an excellent for everything I've need, I'm cross-firing two larger GPUs with no hiccups. Also decently quiet, efficient, and reliable so far. (owned for about 5 months)

Cons: None that comes to mind.

Other Thoughts: Very Pretty Blue, matches the rest of the blue LED theme I have.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 1000W
Plenty of connections for my setup

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have this in a non crossfire setup currently and it runs it just fine. I will be adding another R9 280x soon, so we shall see...

1 out of 5 eggsShort lived

Pros: None really. The light was kinda cool....

Cons: I used this PSU for 1 month. During that time I ran 500-650 watts though it pretty continuously. I never broke 700 watts. At the end of the first month my computer began to restart any time I broke 300 watts (Kernal 41 issues) . I can no longer play any games that use my GPU.

Other Thoughts: Sent an email to the manufacturer with a proof of purchase a few days ago and have not yet got a response.

There is a one year warranty on this item, but after seeing others with the same problem and the fact that I didn't out the wattage and it still broke, I am not gonna risk putting it back in my machine.

Bought a Thermaltake 1200: works great no problems yet.

1 out of 5 eggsBecareful of this PSU

Pros: Cheap price for power ratio

Cons: Not very good quality overall.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU on 9/9/13 for my custom build computer. I am running two HD7970 MSI GPU's in Crossfire. I do not mine crypto's and I do not overclock because the GPU's and computer run my GFX in very good HD quality at high ratio's. So my system is on stock, and for the system I have, this power supply should be able to handle the draw without a sweat. I never had a problem until now. But this problem was so bad, that I am scared to see how far the damage went. I cannot check right now, because I have no power supply. But what happened is that both GPU cables Melted into the PSU plugs. I am not sure if my GPU's are toasted now, But I will soon. I called for an RMA, and they already told me that it's BACKORDERED. Makes me wonder exactly how many RMA's they are doing if businesses are in stock, but they are not. Told me I am going to have to wait 6 weeks. I am a college student who needs my desktop and this is unacceptable. Do they not understand that people need their computers, and are making them wait for such a long period? Unacceptable. I suggest you not waste your money on this product. The price is nice, but you are going to lose more money waiting on a replacement. Especially if your a business owner or student like myself. I had to type this review on my phone, but I wanted to help others out there. XION if your listening. You owe it to your customers to have product's in supply for this very reason, so that you have a faster RMA process. I am just glad that my surge protector shut it off before it melted my entire CPU and caught my house of fire. I might ask a legal expert to investigate this model's issues and see if there might be a safety issue here, and get some sort of recall. I do not want someone to lose a life, or a house.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not waste your money

Pros: Works for a bit

Cons: I purchased this and it seemed to work for a few days and then it just popped. I figured that it was just a bad unit as it can happen. So I contacted XION RMA and started the process. I feel I waited way too long for a replacement, but I did get one. The replacement seemed to work great ... until ... you guessed it POP! I'm not overloading it as I'm only running two GPUs a MB and a hard-disk. No additional cable converters etc. It's just bad quality PSU. AVOID!

Other Thoughts: Too bad I've had it too long now to get any money back and the rebate just covers the cost of the first RMA shipping. No more XION products for me! I'm just going to junk this one and buy a better quality PSU.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU but...

Pros: 1000w
Enough to Power my EVGA gtx 780 ti acx superclocked
Good looking

Cons: The power cord did NOT fit into the slot in the back of the PSU...seriously? I had to break out an old one, which fit perfectly.

Other Thoughts: This PSU is great, but I think they just packaged the wrong cable in with mine.

2 out of 5 eggsGot a bad one.

Pros: Blue LED fan looks nice, as do the modular cables. Unit is quiet.

Cons: DOA. The motherboard and SATA connectors powered on, but there was not enough juice in the PCI-E plugs to produce a picture on my monitors.

Other Thoughts: I tried multiple variations of the 4 PCI-E connectors, but none worked. I thought it was a problem with my videocard at first, but then tested a different (much smaller) PSU and it booted fine. I was told to go for a more trusted name when I bought this and I regret not taking that advice. I did not care to notify the customer service, so I can't speak about the support. Returning this and getting a Corsair.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: All power connecters I needed. SLI ready was not a lie. Plus all of the connecters have plugs at both ends, so they plug into the device as well as plug into the power supply itself, so cables you don't need can be stored until later outside of the box.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsAwesome looking, poor preforming power supply.

Pros: Modular design. It might have a blue led. It may be quiet, or louder than my last. I have no clue.

Cons: After paying way to much money for newegg express 2 day delivery after my last 1kw psu died after more than 9 years in service.
After ordering on 29-May. I received my new PSU in the mail 4 days later. Thanks 2 day shipping.
I unboxed everything to find its only partially modular, the 24 pin plus the 4+4pin 12v rails are not removable.
I hook all the cords up to my psu tester I got to verify before ordering the new one, and NOTHING!
I wiggle wires, switch out the molex, sata, and pci-e cords for others in the box thinking its something small.. Nothing.
I hope and pray my tester is a cheap piece of crapolah and doesn't work, so I install it into my box anyways.
After a few moments of checking everything to verify it's secure. I hit the power button, and nothing.
Big surprise.. I switch all cords out, change power cable with the one from my old one, than one from my monitor that works on both cords. I check my video cards and ram in other machines, they work. Switch my 8 core out for a quad core am3+ chip and still nothing.
Here I sit on the 7th of May waiting for my RMA.
I have already shipped the package back with signature confirmation back to newegg. It arrived yesterday and my replacement is still "Packaging" where it's been since I ordered the rma.
Neweggs shipping is painful and slow, the product I got didn't work, and now I'm another week in with no pc for school, work, bills, and everything else. Thanks new egg, and thank you XION for making a useless power supply that doesn't work after saving and waiting for over a month.

Other Thoughts: I may of enjoyed the psu if it ever worked.
I might deal with newegg in the future(doubtful) if it would of been quicker to ship it instead of actually drive to California and pick it up myself.
Finally the 2 day shipping for the psu from newegg was 26 dollars, when 2 day shipping with signature confirmation from USPS was only 13.48, and the package got there sooner than my initial order.
