4 out of 5 eggsmodular 1000 W

Pros: Solid modular design, good amount of extra cables

Cons: Minimal information in the instructions, fixed cables are short, even for a top mount.

Other Thoughts: Can we get on official Mfr. response on wheather or not this unit is mountable in any position, I.e., right side up and upside down.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU so far

Pros: 1000W, cheap, semi modular design

Cons: could have a bit higher amperage on the gpu 12v rails

Other Thoughts: I'm running an intel I7 3770K, 16GB Ram, ssd, hdd, and 2xAsus GTX Direct CU II 3 slot gpus in sli on this PSU and its doing just fine. there are 2 separate 12v rails for the gpu's so you can run 2way sli no problem with this psu but forget about tri or quad sli setups. overall its a great psu for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: The selling point for me was it being modular and 1000W

Cons: See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: More of a thought than a con, The Power and CPU cables could be a bit longer. It seems it's mainly built for ceiling mounted cases rather than floor seated cases (which mine is).

5 out of 5 eggsXION Good After Four (4) Years

Pros: I don't have this specific model, but I have an 800W XION that I purchased in early 2009 for $79.99. This thing is still going and it has seen massive upgrades of all the other computer parts and served me well through all of them. I purchased this when I had an 8800GT w/single core AMD 3200 and moved up to GTX275 w/ AMD Dual Core, to a 560ti w/AMD 1090t to my current GTX670 w/ i5 3570K. I just now started thinking about a replacement and this was on the first page, so I had to comment about how happy I've been with XION. I'm probably going to pick up this specific item, but I just started looking at PSU's today and I haven't done any research on price or anything for quite some time. As long as these guys haven't changed, I'll be confident getting another one.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Funny how the price of PSU's has stayed roughly the same for the past 4 years. I guess it would be considered cheaper now as opposed to 2009 money

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Long cables are excellent for my Full ATX case.
Comes with a nice zipper case to keep left over cables together..
Didn't blow up on the first try.

Cons: None, works as intended, so far.

Other Thoughts: The unit's size might be an issue for some people. It's larger than other PSUs I've owned in the past, but it works fine in my case.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Cheap...1000W
Modular

Cons: 12V rails are only 20A...will not run newer high end graphics cards...forget about SLI

Other Thoughts: not worth the risk... there are many better quality products out there.
