5 out of 5 eggsNice longevity

Pros: Bought this for a custom build as my HD usage got out of control. This power supply worked faithfully for over 6 years (I had to go into NewEgg's order history to see just how old it was) before finally quitting. Didn't quit instantly either, and had a period marked with stubborn-ness to start. While some might consider that a bad thing, it was nice to get a warning that something (either the PSU or mobo) was on its way out. After 6 years, I think I got my money's worth.

Cons: Unplugging the little dongles can be a pain, since each one covers the clip for the last. Means you have to take them out sequentially.

4 out of 5 eggsGuess i got a good one

Pros: -- Excellent price
-- I like the modular cable system

Cons: -- Wish the cables were sleeved

Other Thoughts: Been running a P4 650 3.4Ghz rig for almost a year with a Radeon X850XT(oc'd), 2GB Ram, 2 SATA HD's, 2 DVD/CR RW drives and a sound blaster audigy 2 platinum. No issues at all since I put the rig together. The +12v rail on mine remains pretty stable around 12.227 volts during Prime95 torture tests, SUPERPI 1MB Sandra 2005 etc, which was waay better than I was getting with an Antec True 550 before it (usually 11.5-11.8 volts). I'm an avid gamer as well and this PSU hasn't done me wrong yet. It may not be the best for heavy overclocking since I was having pretty mixed results. That could be attributed to the CPU/Chipset/Memory I'm running though. I'm going to add another HD and a 7800gt soonish too.I think this bad boy is a steal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: This comes with a great selection of power connections, and the ability to customize the number and type of connections in fantastic. I don't have any trouble gaming for hours on end.

Cons: The power supply could only be better if it also did my taxes for me.

Other Thoughts: My system is in the lower-high range of quality (not the newest and most expensive, but plenty of speed). Judging from problems other people are having, perhaps this isn't the best choice of power supply if you're trying to build the latest and greatest powerhouse gamebox. For us normal gamers though who only want to spend about $1500 on a system, this thing will do the trick.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this PS.

Pros: I used this item (620W version) for over a year, it has run smoothly. It offers powerful and quite operation, doing its job nicely and faithfully.

It drives my workstation with 2 opterons, 5 hds, and 5 fans, 2 Dvd drives. never has a problem.

I bought the scend one about 4 months ago, built a Pentiem-Dual Core workstation, runing 5 hds and 6 fans. It works great. powerful and quite, very powerful and quite PS.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The standing-by 30W power line is very usful feature. It allows you to change CD-DVD disk after turning off computer. It really comes handy in some situations when you want to remove DVD disk after computer turned off.

1 out of 5 eggsGamer? Stay away!

Pros: Zilch

Cons: Not a true dual rail psu. The 12v line is terrible at keeping the power up. Mine stays between 11.84 and 11.9. System is constantly shutting down when playing recent games (ie. anything in the past 2 years).

Other Thoughts: These things are cheap for a reason. If you aren't going to be gaming, this should be okay most of the time, although it has shut down in Windows once or thrice.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Running

Pros: Its works for me.

Cons: The first time i shuted it down it made this weird noise then smoke started coming out of it. Evtually the smoke stopped but it still works! The SATA power plugs don't work.

Other Thoughts: Other than those few things, it's great.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: strong beefy rails, inexpensive, quiet, modular, got the looks

Cons: not really dual 12v rails, but atleast the 12v rail is very strong 40A

Other Thoughts: in response to the last post, the fan isn't supposed to work when you first plug it in. The Fan only engages at or above 40C. If you fried your board you may have reverse the plugs or maybe just got a defective one.
Challenge, find a better PSU for $58. can't beat it for the $$$

1 out of 5 eggsmakes baby j3sus cry

Pros: none

Cons: simply put- this power supply is horrible. i bought it with this system -
amd athlon 64 3800+ venice core
1x 1gb ram
120 gb western digital hdd
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum mobo
HYUNDAI L70N 17'' lcd
Thermaltake VENUS 12 heatsink
i threw this power supply into my case and noticed its fans don't work. Also after plugging my pcie card into it, it would not function at all. A few seconds after i run it with no power directly to my video card, i see smoke coming out of my motherboard - which gets completly fried. Ran out and bought another p/s with hopes to get my system up but my mobo was too shot.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY THIS!. Never go bargan when it comes to power supplies, i was told this but i did not listen and got my pc fried. Spend a little more money and get some quaility

* ATX-GM 620SC
Just do a search on it, in fact Sky Hawk should be changing the way they market these PSUs very shortly.
