1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: Cool design

Cons: Does not work at all, USB device can not be identified.
I attached my SATA hard disk to other enclosures and it just works fine.

Other Thoughts: The custom service is really good and I requested ram

1 out of 5 eggsSave your $$$

Pros: It looks cool. Unique design.

Cons: Stopped recognizing as a USB 2.0 device. Tested with multiple known working USB 2.0 ports on multiple PCs. USB 1.1 is just way too slow when your imaging a 100gb hdd.

Other Thoughts: Though cheap and attractive, I'd choose a different brand based on this problem alone.

1 out of 5 eggsDC power hook broken very easily

Pros: Nice looking, LED. Even though the power hook broken but I still can use the Y USB cable ( 2 USB go to 1 Mini on the drive)

Cons: DC power hook broken in two days of use, wanted to return but shipping cost worth half of the item so it is not worth it. Trying to fix it my self.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks fine but does not come with USB-Y cable as advertised

Pros: I got this external hard drive case and it work fine with the data cable and the USB cable.

Cons: Unfortunately, I decided to get this external hard drive because I thought It came with a USB-Y cable (that was in the 5th picture) which I needed to use with 2 other western digital external hard drive (that does not have a barrel power port just a mini USB to plug into an Apple) So I had to contact Eagle manufactures and get them to send me a USB-Y data cable (I am now satisfied but it was a hassle).

Other Thoughts: I have learned to look more carefully at the ports on the device to make sure that I will get a correct cable in the future

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: as long as u use a powered USB port, you dont need to have the second cable plugged in, only the data cable.

Cons: NONE

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works fine does what it says. Easy to setup.

Cons: First one was DOW windows couldn't recognize the disk. Second one worked fine. As others have said the USB is a little loose but it works fine for my purpose. Drive tends to get a little hot after long use like copying large amounts of data.

Other Thoughts: If you are gonna use it all the time I would suggest a different enclosure.

2 out of 5 eggsSomewhat Flakey - will work

Pros: read/write and power indicator lights - not bad.
case design is overall good, decent quality
Low cost

Cons: USB Mini-B and power ports misaligned
I used a small piece of foam to rest between case and circuit board to better align it.

USB Mini-B has loose connection, when plugged in and enclosure is picked up and moved it has a tendency to disconnect from your computer, not physically disconnect - the USB disconnect.. you know??

User Manual shows you get a USB Y Cable, but it mine it came with 2 USB Cables. One for Power, and one for data.
I didn't need to use the power cable though...

Other Thoughts: The screwdriver was inside the Mesh Pouch, I found this after putting it together with my own screwdriver.. I thought it was left out of the packaging - it was all there.

Not exact to the manual....

4 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: Great little enclosure for general use. Does the job, easy installation, anyone basically could put a drive in here.
You dont even need the USB power cord, it can just be powered off a regular USB cable. Nice LED indicator lights, although the read/write LEDs blend together so you cant really tell whats what.

Cons: the usb cable is a little loose and sometimes it will disconnect if you move it around too much. Not all the time, just if you move it a certain way.

Other Thoughts: rubber feet will only stick on 1 or 2 times maybe before they fall off and they go over the screw holes so if you change the drive in and out a lot, you will probably loose them.

5 out of 5 eggsExelent Enclosure

Pros: This enclosure was used for my old ps3 hard drive that i upgraded. It was very simple to install the drive, and connect it to the computer. No extra power was needed and it works like a charm.

Cons: The only con i can think of is the read/write lights on the top are pretty useless and for me its just a blue light for show does not accurately show read/write activity. Not a big issue just a bummer :)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great and looks good

Pros: i love this unit. i purchased it to go along with a 320g laptop drive, to use as storage. it included the screws and a screwdriver. has a small foam strip to keep the drive from moving inside. installation was very easy and straightforward. took about 5 minutes. drive stays pretty cool, and even the case stays fairly cool even after having the drive running for about an hour. the included carrying case was a nice touch.

Cons: the lanyard strap was a nice touch, although there was no dedicated spot to connect it. the only way is to connect it to the handle/riser foot. which just looked cheesy. and plus, with the nice carrying case, there is no need for the lanyard. BUT... i am glad they included it.... its now attached to my cell phone :)

Other Thoughts: i would definately buy this again. and reccomend it. and i am looking at eagle/ineo for a case for my old desktop drives now as well.
