5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a champ!

Pros: It's small, slim and sleek. Looks nice and elegant. Does what it's suppose to do.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Other reviews are saying that it doesn't last long, I have not had any problems with it at all. I purchased mine on 12/7/2010, and it's still working with no problems.

Also, I haven't ran into any capacity problems as others have stated. I'm using the "Seagate Solid State Hybrid ST500LM000 500GB 64MB Cache 2.5" SATA 6.0Gb/s Laptop Thin Hard Drive" and it works just fine.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat but....

Pros: Very sleek, looks awesome, doesn't feel cheap. Although it has a short cable, this can easily be averted with a USB extender cable.

Cons: The screws that keep the enclosure together are super tiny, I lost them while trying to install the first drive.

After only 1.5 years, the device no longer works (did not use everyday). Low max capacity readability (300GB?).

Other Thoughts: Honestly, it definitely impressed others when I brought it around. It did its job, but I am sore that it did not last for too much longer than one year. I have an enclosure from years ago that is still alive and kickin' today.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but didn't last.

Pros: Pretty, works well.

Cons: Extremely short cable (the "strap" is the cable), went out after about ten months. Took it apart and the solders between the USB wires and the board were in bad shape.

Other Thoughts: Mine may be a fluke, so I won't give it one egg, but I also won't be replacing it with the same model.

3 out of 5 eggsAmazing for 8months... Now broken.

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do. When I bought it, it was one of the better deals on Newegg for laptop drives, still size-wise appears to be one of the smallest ones out there.

Stylish looking.

Cons: I always knew there was a high chance that the cable could break and that such a break would render the device scrap. Lasted 8ish months.
Wires broke at the bend point.

Other Thoughts: We shall see if they will honor warranty or not or how hard it is to service it as to whether I would buy another product of this brand.

5 out of 5 eggsEnclosure

Pros: - Fantastic Design
- Compact
- No cables to worry about or lose
- Looks sleek
- Light

Cons: - Can be difficult to install a drive at first
- Only three screws provided, so only one spare
- No screw driver is included, you must have the correct size Phillips head in order to install a drive right out of the box

Other Thoughts: Simply the best external enclosure I have ever used. I ended up buying and using two of them. They are worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsSlim and Sexy

Pros: Bought it for a friend. Worked out perfectly for a drive switch. Comes with a extension cable.

Cons: The cable is kinda short; You need to position yourself good so it doesn't have a chance to fall.

5 out of 5 eggsSexy!

Pros: This is the best looking external hard drive enclosure I've seen in my life. It's leather on one side, and chrome on the other. I use two of them in my computer shoppe. I've installed 500GB 7,200RPM drives in them, and the performance is fantastic. Build quality is excellent, and the USB connector is superb. Don't hesitate to get a couple of them for yourself.

Cons: There are a few cons, but they aren't too bad. The first con is the USB cable length. It's very short, a few inches but this isn't an issue if you're connecting it to a laptop. But unless your desktop has USB ports on the bottom of the case, connecting this to it would be impossible. Eagle has another enclosure with a built-in cable that's longer than this one (it wraps around the enclosure) but it pricks your finger whenever you want to take out the cable and this one doesn't.

Also, there is a very ugly sticker on the chrome side. Peel it off and use something like GooGone to remove the residual residue.

Other Thoughts: It's relatively expensive, but there's non like it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest enclosure ever purchased

Pros: Fantastic enclosure. Looks very slick, love the design. Doesn't require 2 USB ports for me, but includes an adapter if your usb isn't powerful enough. Excellent build quality, looks like a pro external, not an enclosure.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Best enclosure ever purchased.

1 out of 5 eggsWorks Great...until it breaks!

Pros: Works great, high speed, works with Linux and Windows!

Cons: It breaks where the cable bends to curve around the case because the wires are so thin, I used it for a month or so until it stopped connecting to my computer.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Portable Enclosure

Pros: Size
Very Nice look
Attached USB
2.5 Drive fits nice and snug
Excellent Design

Cons: Made in China
Chrome backing .... should have been the same as the top
Protective shipping plastic for the back left a lot of "goop" when removed

Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this enclosure other than the con's listed which together dropped and egg. I put a Seagate 500G 5400 rpm drive in it and it's a really nice set up. The drive went in easily and is a good snug fit.
