5 out of 5 eggsStill running

Pros: Modular wiring, PFC Active, 80 PLUS Certified. Mine has ran nearly 24/7 for over 6 years of gaming and streaming. Quality.

Cons: Not strong enough for modern SLI setup.

Other Thoughts: Has been running strong since 4/2006 through 3, possibly 4 soon, CPU/GPU upgrades. With the lower power requirements of today's CPUs, I may not have reason to upgrade even now.

5 out of 5 eggsBest C note spent

Pros: Pros? It's still running after 6 years of constant use. I was checking my old invoices and purchased this on 12/18/06. Hoping my newest PSU survives this long on my new build.
Always get a laugh when I read reviews from people building systems then throwing some cheap psu into it, then they complain about the system having issues. Gee wonder why? Every cpu/mb/ram chip doesn't ship bad, end users are the problem. Buy a good psu and build a system around it not the other way around. spend a minimum of $100 on a psu.
Also have a even older Enermax PSU that's still running in a even older build.

Cons: What con? still fully functional after 6 years.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: modular cables, fan speed mobo hookup, stylish appearance, solid construction

Cons: it died after 4 years. 1 egg off for not lasting 5+ years though it could be my fault for not air dusting the inside of it.

Other Thoughts: This power supply lasted about 4 years and 2 months running the same PC the entire time and never did damage to other PC components. I paid over $100 for this and I expected it to last a bit longer, maybe 5 or 6 years although I did neglect it by not air dusting the inside. Toward the end it sometimes would not power up, and now it doesn't work at all. It could probably be repaired by someone who knew what they were doing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU for older systems

Pros: Owned this PSU since 3/23/06.

First PSU I experienced with modular cables and now all future PSU's will have the same. Very well designed modular cables and had no problems at all with lengths.

Handled SLI when I tried it out for a week or so a couple years ago.

Was well within the limits of all the rails when I tested it last a few weeks ago.

Cable storage sleeve is a nice plus.

Cons: Turned off my computer last night and it wouldn't even POST this morning. I had a spare PSU to test and it booted up fine.

Warranty is for 3 years. Mine was 3 years and 6.5 months old when it broke.

I think the fan broke. I did NOT have fire works like others experienced.

Would have given it 5 eggs had it lasted for another couple of years.

Other Thoughts: I am going to be building a new computer and I may buy another one of these for the old Athlon 64 X2 3800+system to replace the one that broke. I need to shop around first.

Price is pretty much half of what it was when I originally bought it so it's now a bargain but was mid-high end when I first bought it.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Power Supply

Pros: Lots of cables. Great layout. The power cables for the video card have a red color, so you immediately know where it goes.

Cons: The first one I ordered died within a few weeks. Made a large noise and sparks flew when it did. My replacement has been slowly dying for a few weeks, making large whining noises, and know it won't boot up my computer at all.

Other Thoughts: Avoid this power supply at all costs! Don't be fooled by the cheap cost of this power supply.
