The Enermax FMA 2.2 PSU balances the twin needs of maximum power and minimum noise. To keep things quiet there are two 80mm fans that work in concert for superior airflow. Fan speed can be controlled by a knob on the back of the PSU so you can set it where you want it. However there is a temperature override switch that will boost fan speed if the PSU gets too hot. The fans also run after you power down to quickly cool things down.

Dual +12V rails ensure a balanced power output for your system no matter what the load. Dual 6-pin PCIe connectors support NVIDIA’s SLI technology. SATA power connectors let you enjoy the performance of today’s high speed drives.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply

Pros: Great voltagages, two fans with speed control and monitoring, plenty of connectors of all types, you can only do better by getting a modular unit.

Cons: None to mention.

Other Thoughts: Great service from Newegg as always. Great selection, with lots of information and reviews, makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I have had this PSU for over a year now and no problems. Very stable, cables are nicely wrapped, and plenty of cables for my gaming system.

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: I have no complaints. I would consider a more powerful one though if you are looking to get a quad core (as I now am doing). I would definitely buy Enermax again.

5 out of 5 eggsNothing fancy, just solid and reliable

Pros: Just a solid power supply with 2 fans and speed control. I have another earlier version of this same PS in another system that runs great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Solid

5 out of 5 eggsit does the job

Pros: the lenght of the wires is perfect for a Full-ATX case. doesn't need to increase the fan speed because it runs cool my thermaltake armor case 24/7 on heavy load.

Cons: the male molex connectors are little bit shaky, but ones you get them in you are good to go.

Other Thoughts: easy to install. well illustrated documentation. way to go.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid power supply

Pros: This has not failed me yet. I have been using it for 6 months and I have never had a problem. It has 2 pci-e connectors for SLI or the new high end graphics cards that require 2.

Cons: The 20+4 pin connector could be shorter, not enough molex connectors.

Other Thoughts: I am currently running a Core 2 Duo at 3.0GHz, a x1950XT, 2GBs of Geil ram.

I checked the voltages with a multimeter and they never dip below 5.05 and 12.05 at full load! When system is idle the voltage is 5.1 and 12.1

5 out of 5 eggsSolid as a rock

Pros: I have had this for about 2.5 years and it's still running like brand new. What more can I say? Does it get better than that? The instruction booklet is thick so if this is your first install i'm sure you will find all the info you need. Great cooling system.

Cons: well if you turn the fan speed all the way up it's definitely not silent. my pc is in the living room and i can hear it from the bedroom about 50 feet away. The good thing is you really don't have to turn the fan speed up to keep things cool.

Other Thoughts: you don't need to spend the price of a new desktop to get a reliable quality product.

4 out of 5 eggsStrong So Far

Pros: Went In fine and replaced an failing Antec True 430. Most major Juice arteries are braided.
Plenty of juice for a small AMD home fun server.

Cons: All the extra 12 volt rail is for peeps running SLI Cash Cows.
Can't remove the 12 volt extras only stuf them on a non-take side :-(

Other Thoughts: Asus board 2 gigs dual chanel PC3200 Two WD 320 Gb 7200 rpm drives in each flavor ata and sata. One ATA Hitachi desk Star 180 Gb 7200 Rpm main Drive. Two Optical drives and a 7800 GS XFX Super Clock. Overclocked to 510 core and 1460 mem. MVN 2 plays well on a 19 inch crt monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax is solid as always

Pros: Good power output
Quiet
Versatile
Reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Enermax always underrates their supplies a bit. They're always capable of reliably outputting a little more power than advertised. As a result, you almost never need to be afraid of running out of power with one of their supplies.

I've had experience with Enermax, Fortron, and Antec supplies. Enermax has always consistently outperformed all the others. I ran out of juice with a 300 watt Antec supply on my spare machine. I dropped in a spare 300 watt Enermax to replace it, and had no more problems. These supplies will handle whatever you throw at them and stay within voltage specs.
