Power packed to the core, the ENERMAX Modu82+ EMD625AWT 625W power supply is ideal for the ultra high end multi-GPU gaming system. It is SLI, CrossFire and Quad Core CPU ready, and will add real boost to your beast machine. This modular PSU is designed to deliver maximum power with minimum heat. Instead of a small fan on the back of the unit, there is a huge cooling fan on the bottom and the back panel is a minimally obstructive hexagonal mesh interrupted only by the power connector and switch.
The modular design makes cable management easier. The main power cables are permanently attached while all of the peripheral cables all plug into the back of the PSU. The cables are all wrapped in mesh for a cleaner installation.
Triple +12V rails ensure a balanced power output for your system no matter what the load. 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors is featured for PCI Express 2.0 / DXX next generation graphic cards. Ready for the future, the EMD625AWT features 12Pin modular design for possibly upcoming new CPU's and graphics with 10 or 12Pin connectors. Its 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified, so less energy is wasted as heat or interference, delivering more power to your hungry system!

Nice PSU
- Pros: Just used this PSU in a new build. Read some good reviews and had good experience with previous Enermax 500-watt modular PSU so I went for it on this one. Powers up the rig with no problems. Remains virtually silent, low rpm's on the fan even during burn-in/stress test
- Cons: Ended up using almost all of the cables, so modular wasn't really a huge plus, but not a real con. PC components listed below. A little difficulty fitting in case, but not to fault the PSU it was more the case, unit didn't seem any larger than any other PSU.
- Other Thoughts: Used in Antec P182 case, all the cables were plenty long enough to be routed behind the mobo tray for a clean wiring job. 3 HDD's in lower chamber 2xWD1600AAJS, 1x750 GB Samsung. 8800GT OC'd, Intel 8400, 2xDVDRW drives, 2 gigs kingston hyperx 1066, 3x120mm fans. This PSU handles everything fine, there's no need to go with more power than this for most applications.

Manufacturer Response:Hi brantley, Thanks for being one of the first who posted reviews on our new PSU, as you probably already know, we do reward people for that. Please send me an email at Jay_Zheng@EnermaxUSA.com for the details. -- Jay @ Enermax USA
Great PSU but HORRIBLE REBATE
- Pros: It's quiet, it's cool, it's stable, and it's modular. Works great in my silent/quiet PC.
- Cons: I sent in my rebate over 2 months ago. It's been about 11 weeks, and the rebate form (I have a photocopy) states that I should be receiving my check by now, so I gave them a call. I was told that my rebate is NOT EVEN IN THEIR SYSTEM yet, and that they're backed up on rebates. How can it be over 2 months, with my rebate not in their system? I was then told to call back in 2 weeks to see if it had been entered into their system... and that it would take another month or so after that to process. Really?

Solid Performer
- Pros: Handles my 8 drive array spin-up no problem, very efficient. Solid PSU
- Cons: None
Excellent replacement for my ol Phantom 500
- Pros: My old Antec Phantom 500 gave up the ghost so I researched low noise CPUs. This was recommended by Silent PC Review. I am very pleased with the the noise level. My system pulls around 250-300 watts and I can't hear the PSU over the CPU cooler fan
- Cons: None.
Bad Shipping
- Pros: Good price.
- Cons: The plastic used for the connectors is of dubious quality as the snag on the 8Pin/+12V used to secure the connector onto the CPU was quite cheap and broke off during shipping. Furthermore newegg needs to package these things with more layers of bubble wrap. My harddrive (half the weight) had twice as many layers of bubble wraps.
