Power packed to the core, the ENERMAX Modu82+ EMD625AWT 625W power supply is ideal for the ultra high end multi-GPU gaming system. It is SLI, CrossFire and Quad Core CPU ready, and will add real boost to your beast machine. This modular PSU is designed to deliver maximum power with minimum heat. Instead of a small fan on the back of the unit, there is a huge cooling fan on the bottom and the back panel is a minimally obstructive hexagonal mesh interrupted only by the power connector and switch.

The modular design makes cable management easier. The main power cables are permanently attached while all of the peripheral cables all plug into the back of the PSU. The cables are all wrapped in mesh for a cleaner installation.

Triple +12V rails ensure a balanced power output for your system no matter what the load. 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors is featured for PCI Express 2.0 / DXX next generation graphic cards. Ready for the future, the EMD625AWT features 12Pin modular design for possibly upcoming new CPU's and graphics with 10 or 12Pin connectors. Its 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified, so less energy is wasted as heat or interference, delivering more power to your hungry system!

  • newegg ATX12V v2.3 Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.3 standard, the Enermax MODU82+ EMD625AWT power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the processors as well as other system components.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: 1. Silent.
2. Did not damage any of my other components.

Cons: 1. This PSU failed after 1 year and 9 months which was about 2000 hours of usage. The symptom that developed was random red screens followed by a shutdown and restart. This sometimes happened during the BIOS POST so I updated the BIOS which did not help. I replaced this PSU with a new 650 W one of another brand and my computer works perfectly again.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU based on the SPCR website's review. For its entire life this PSU was plugged into a Tripp Lite 1500 VA - 940 W UPS and surge suppressor. In addition I shut off the power switch on the PSU before any electrical storm. Basically I took as good care of this PSU as is humanly possible and it failed in an unacceptably short time. It is still under warranty but I am going to take it to the recycling facility rather than send it back to Enermax because I do not want to waste any more time on this PSU. I have only two words for any company whose product fails in an unacceptably short time - "Never Again."

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful anad Quiet!

Pros: Powerful, VERY VERY Quiet, modular...

Cons: wouldn't mind some longer cables for my server case...but then I wouldn't want them if I used a standard ATX tower...you can't make everybody happy...

Other Thoughts: i run this on a home server...24/7 for a year now with no issues at all...this rig also doubles as an all out overclocked gaming machine...and I've never overtaxed it or had any issues...I've always trusted Enermax with all my Intel systems and will continue to after this experience.

You get what you pay for!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent replacement for my ol Phantom 500

Pros: My old Antec Phantom 500 gave up the ghost so I researched low noise CPUs. This was recommended by Silent PC Review. I am very pleased with the the noise level. My system pulls around 250-300 watts and I can't hear the PSU over the CPU cooler fan

Cons: None.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Shipping

Pros: Good price.

Cons: The plastic used for the connectors is of dubious quality as the snag on the 8Pin/+12V used to secure the connector onto the CPU was quite cheap and broke off during shipping. Furthermore newegg needs to package these things with more layers of bubble wrap. My harddrive (half the weight) had twice as many layers of bubble wraps.

Lots of cables.
