4 out of 5 eggsIt Stinks like fresh paint

Pros: Got this to have spare in house for the 8 computers I am responsible for opened box and it smelled like fresh paint. Tested to be sure it works and all voltages within acceptable limits so put back in box and onto shelf and hope I never need it

Cons: I hate the smell of wet paint

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Power Supply for the price

Pros: Cables are plenty long enough for my mid tower case to run the cables behind the motherboard tray for cable management. Powers all 7 drives and AMD Athlon X2 4200+ with 2GB ram nicely in my Debian file server.

Cons: only 2 of the cables are sleeved. And poor sleeving at that. The sata and molex are not sleeved. Molex connector at the end of the sata connectors makes cable management a bit of a pain.

Other Thoughts: I Hate to say it but Newegg really dropped the ball and disappointed me on this 1. I ordered it Friday afternoon. And they didn't even ship it out of the warehouse till late Tuesday afternoon. I mean come on. I could understand shipping it out mid Monday or even Monday afternoon but waiting 2 Business days to ship out something ? I wasn't impressed and nearly went and bout a PSU at a local shop and returned this 1.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget PSU

Pros: Consistent
Quiet

Cons: Only some of the cables have sleeves
Not modular

Other Thoughts: If you actually go online and do some research, you'll find that this is one of the better budget PSUs out there. The voltage regulation is decent and the unit is somewhat efficient.

System:
Intel 2500K
Asus B75 motherboard
Radeon HD 7790 (100W TDP)
8GB DDR3 1333

Cons: It's a bit on the loud side

Other Thoughts: I was skeptical with the price, but I'm satisfied with the product. Keeps my i5-3750k toasty

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome little PSU

Pros: Has a nice amount of connectors.
It's quiet and cool.
Have never had a problem with it.

Cons: It's not 80+ but I'm not taking an egg for that.

Other Thoughts: I put this into a custom wood mid atx portable case running a pentium e5800, zotac geforce 550 ti, 4 hdd and 5 case fans. It has survived several long distance trips and several trips to the beach along with trips around the city I live in

1 out of 5 eggsDead as a door nail

Pros: Quiet -- when it worked.

Cons: Died after about three months. Now I have to pay shipping to send it in for replacement. I think Enermax should pay for return shipping for warranty work.

5 out of 5 eggsLaw Office

Pros: I have built 4 office work stations in the last three months using these. Not one issue with any of them. For the money they are hard to beat for a 450W.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The cabels are long enough, which is great with most of the new PC cases going with the power supply spot in the bottom of the case, which I find rather stupid when you have to run most cables over the entire board to plug in the processor power on the very top of the board. Not to mention what if you have 2 vid cards in.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked for about a month then died

Pros: Lots of cables without being too many
Quiet
Never got hot

Cons: Died after a month

Other Thoughts: Just sent in an email enermax about it, hopefully this is just one of those once in a blue moon defects.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good quality product

Pros: Very nice power supply. Like the long main power cables that connect to motherboard, great for ATX boards where you need the extra length.

Cons: Some connector cables a little too long but better then being too short.
