ENERMAX’s 80 PLUS Gold certified REVOLUTION87+ 1000W offers non-stop industrial class performance at 50°C ambient. Dynamic Hybrid Transformer Topology provides extremely high efficiency with the most durable and stable output at any load. DC to DC converter design lowers energy loss for higher efficiency and better dynamic response and cross regulation. The modular design makes cable management easier. Eight 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors are well ready for multiple new generation DXXI graphic cards, while 12P modular design takes upcoming new CPU and GPU 10P and/or 12P connectors into consideration. 13.9cm Twister-bearing fan cools the entire power supply unit at low noise levels. 100% 105°C Japanese electrolytic capacitors and an array of safeguard means, including CordGuard, HeatGuard, SafeGuard and SpeedGuard, provide maximum durability, stability and protection for a prolonged system lifetime and reduced failure.

  • newegg 87PLUS ready! 80 PLUS GOLD certified, the ENERMAX REVOLUTION87+ 1000W is an extreme efficiency PSU with 87-93% efficiency @ 20-100% load. Moreover, the advanced +5vsb circuitry with up to 20% improved efficiency in comparison to generic designs helps your system meet ErP Lot 6 2010 (AC < 1W at standby) requirement (With ErP Lot 6 enabled motherboard.). Technological breakthrough topology uses a staged dynamic transformer array for extremely high efficiency with the most durable and stable output at any load.
  • newegg Twister Bearing Fan The proprietary 13.9cm twister bearing fan creates heavy duty airflow drawing heat away from the power supply enclosure. The unique architectures, such as minimal contact area for effective noise reduction, rotor with integrated magnet for frictionless and smooth motion, and self-lubricating bearing material abrasion protection, enable low noise operation and longer lifetime. Advanced fuzzy logic fan speed control ensures optimal cooling and minimum noise. After shut-down, HeatGuard will keep PSU fan running for 30-60 seconds to dissipate the remaining system heat and prolonging lifetime.
  • newegg 100% 105°C Japanese electrolytic capacitors Engineered to deliver non-stop industrial class performance at 50°C ambient, the ENERMAX REVOLUTION87+ 1000W employs 100% 105°C Japanese electrolytic capacitors for maximum durability and stability.
  • newegg C6 & Hybrid ready! REVOLUTION87+ provides tight DC regulation to support C6 mode and Hybrid graphic power saving mode thanks to its ZERO LOAD (0W) Design.
  • newegg Future ready The ENERMAX REVOLUTION87+ 1000W power supply features 12-pin modular connectors, presenting endless combinations and possibilities for future CPU and graphic needs.
  • newegg SafeGuard Industry-leading multiple protection circuitry of OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, OTP, SCP and SIP protect your system.

5 out of 5 eggsCable Extensions

Pros: This power supply has more than enough power,It powers my two 6950 flex 2gb cards easily.8150 eight core cpu,16gb G.Skill Ripjaws X Series memory.Plextor SSD hard drive.Corsair H70 Liquid cpu cooler, and about 8 fans in which I shut down or turn on upon needs.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: All this is inside a NZXT Phantom Case.I got some cable extentions called Mod?Smart Kobra SS cables. These work excellent and can help in a full tower case or tough spots.I ran all my cables out to the back of my case and then brought them back in with the Kobra SS Mod/Smart cable extensions. You get to choose color options also.

3 out of 5 eggsCareful

Pros: Quite nice in terms of performance.

Cons: horribly placed modular plugs, bottom mounted cases with a 120/140mm intake will likely have trouble with this psu. (mine is in a Corsair 500R, I had to remove the 120mm intake fan because it just wouldn't fit without it.) You might be able to install it right side up with the fan inside the pc, however the cables are a little to short to get the 8 pin cpu cable there.

Other Thoughts: I'm still looking for a skinny 120mm intake fan for that spot, might just have to get cable extensions and mount it with the fan upright.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: 5 year warranty. Yes this has a 5 year warranty. It is stated as a 3 year warranty and the person who wrote the information for specs should be fired as this isn't the first time I seen this misinformation for Enermax PSU. ALL Revolution, Platimax, and Galaxy units have a 5 year warranty.

Cons: I have yet to find a con with any of the Enermax high-end PSU models.

Other Thoughts: Yes the price on these PSU's are a bit high but actually very cheap for what the buyer gets. These are very heavy PSU's which means they are built very well. These use double layer capacitors which provide higher performance and are far more resistant to degradation. Also, I became a die hard believer in these PSU's after a bad ground on a transformer resulting in dangerous electrical surges throughout my apartment. The Enermax seen the surge and shutdown my machine immediately to prevent damage to the computer. I later found out after the Power Repairman came out the the transformer was unstable and could've exploded. So the the Enermax PSU saved my machine from a serious situation. However, if the transformer would have exploded it wouldn't have matter. The point is these are extremely well built devices and would recommend to anyone. Plus, this unit is good for several builds later so it can be reused as this are designed to stick around for a very long time.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with HP XW workstations

Pros: I have had enermax psus in the past, nothing but awesome. Great finish, quality, etc

Cons: Bought to replace the existing psu that came with an XW8600 dual xeon workstation. I needed the 8pin power connectors for a gtx 590.

Wouldn't post. For 4 blinking lights that indicates device/power incompatibilty. Tried with just motherboard no devices etc and still didn't work.

3 eggs. Maybe it was defective/incompatible(for whatever strange reason). Since I got it to work with a bunch of adapters won't bother getting a replacement for now.

Other Thoughts: I was able to get (2)6pin to 8 pin adapters and then had to get (2) molex to 6pin (for a total of 4-6pin to convert to 2-8 pin).

Existing 800w psu looks to be enough. I wanted cleaner power and eventually was going to have it power more devices.

I'm sure its fine for other motherboards, for HP xws i would steer clear from this one.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax Powaah

Pros: Enermax build quality. If it is like my previous Enermax psu's I will replace it because I want to, but not because I have to.

Cons: Color scheme. If it matters. Perhaps a bit more expensive than similar pus's. Worth the extra $ for me.

Other Thoughts: Powering an i7 (overvolted and overclocked), 2x gtx580 sli (ov & oc'ed), numerous drives, fans, and a pump. Read the jonnyguru and hardocp reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Power Supply

Pros: -Super quiet
-High quality build
-Stable true power
-Gold efficiency, could reach Platinum per reviews.
-Easy cable management
-Modular

Cons: Price seems expensive but worth it. There are cheaper units out there but can risk your system. Enermax quality is worth the extra dollars.

Other Thoughts: Enermax quality and stable PSUs are the best. I have owned several Enermax products and their attention to detail is unmatched. Highly recommended.
