Logitech 939-000012 Premium 4-Port USB Hub for Notebooks

Pros: Very compact and looks nice. It works right away when it's plug in. Got it for only 8 bucks from Newegg and free shipping. Such a great deal that I just could not resist.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Deals like this is very hard to find, but one is enough for me. By the way, a usb hud is also useful for charging some of your portable devices, like ipods and zunes, or bluetooth headphones, etc.

Other Thoughts: If you are a fan of well build items, this wont let you down. It's refreshing to see a functional, inexpensive device that isn't of bad build quality.

Pros: Just received it couple days, it works great for my keyboard/mouse and usb drives. It looks very sleek and small.

Cons: Too bad Logitech didn't provide a power adapter for the hub.

Pros: I bought this to add some USB hubs to my desktop, and it's working well. Pretty sleek design and the black matches my case.

Cons: As others have mentioned, it has no power cord. If you're using it with a desktop that has a decent power supply this shouldn't be an issue. But if you want it for your notebook you might look for another one, as I went to the Logitech site and couldn't even find a support page for this product, much less where to buy the power adaptor if I had needed one.

Pros: It's small, compact and solid. Works very well with my USB Mouse, Flash Drives and AC Powered USB Hard Drive. It has a Green LED indicator for each live connection, also the non-skid pad on the bottom is a nice touch. If you need extra USB ports on your laptop or desktop, then I would definitely recommend this. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Pros: It's compact and works well with a keyboard, mouse, a wall-powered USB hard drive, and a bluetooth adapter. It handles all of them at once with no issue. It can also handle a USB microphone. It has a mini-USB connector going back to the host PC. It comes with the mini-USB to USB A cable.

Other Thoughts: I almost didn't order it because of some negative reviews. It works fine for me. It doesn't come with a power cord, but there is a DC jack in case you want to use it for high-power USB devices. For a tiny adapter like this, I wouldn't bother using for that.

Pros: Nice looking. Makes the job just fine, appears not so cheap.

Cons: The included USB cable is just too short.

Other Thoughts: I realized to late, that there is also a version out that DOESN´T include the power suplly. -2 Eggs for that!

Cons: No Ac Adaptor inside. I don't even know where to buy one.

Other Thoughts: The Ac Adaptor makes the product a much worse one. Don't buy it if you need AC Supply.

Pros: Very sleek modern professional looking/feeling quality made design with nice cool color lights to indicate device plug in status.

Cons: NO power adapter supplied and that creates big strain on the eggs of this product--suspiciously absent amongst examples in the brochure literature is an example of a portable 9.5 inch hard drive, being able to plug in one, while mp3 players and such are mentioned. The reason for this omission is that this USB Hub will NOT power portable hard drives. Although it supplies a port for an external power adapter it does not provide knowledge as to the polarity of the adapter plug but directs reader to a proprietary Logitech power adapter which would increase the price of the device even further. If you are looking for a good USB hub to 'USB power' your portable 9.5 inch hard drives as you connect them to your computer to use then look elsewhere, otherwise you will be pleased by this product.

Other Thoughts: Too bad Logitech opted to save money and to omit inclusion of a power supply--really is a shiner in my opinion. I ordered 3 of these assuming I could use them with my portable hard drives and seems like it was a mistake. Manufacturers must learn to contain the greed and to include necessary accessories winning hearts of the consumers so that people would buy more of their great products. At least someone should mention this fact to the unsuspected consumers.
