4 out of 5 eggsJust What I Needed

Pros: No complications, simply had to plug everything into the right place and it was ready to be used. Small, light weight, though once everything was plugged in sat in once place without a problem. Is currently handling all of the plugs being used without incident.

Cons: With XP had to unplug the unit for my computer to even start as it recognized it as being a foreign usb, such as a charging camera or mp3 player.

Other Thoughts: About the size of a wallet, but comes in a box that could fit a textbook or two. The cord is longer than most and great for my desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent USB hub

Pros: Compact design and reliable. It's been the best powered hub we've used.
Some like the built-in cable and some don't. You don't have to use it.
We usually use velcro to attach it in place. It's very lightweight and will move about as cables pull on it.

Cons: None really. Maybe a version with ports all on one side would be better, maybe not.

Other Thoughts: Uses a power adapter which is expected since it's a powered hub.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: The packaging was nice

Cons: DOA.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from these guys, the hub is $21, but by the time you return it and get another one it will cost you over $30. Do yourself a favor and get a name brand hub instead.

5 out of 5 eggsLoving It

Pros: 6 USB ports and a mini usb cable! It is also self powered so you wouldn't be troubled by that. It is a nice white color. It is rather small. About 3 inches to 2 inches with a thickness of 1/3 of an inch. It is very light. It's instantly recognized by Windows Vista and it provides high performance.

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsSometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

Pros: Has six USB 2.0 ports, and a mini USB cable (would rather it be a full USB port instead so I could have seven).
Can charge iPhone 3G on it.

Cons: I bought it for a new iMac, hoping that I wouldn't have problems. Well as it turns out, if you use it with Bootcamp and another operating system (Vista here), then prepare to have to completely shut the system down when switching between the two, or it will not get detected once you switch from Vista to OSX. Vista seems to detect it better than OSX.

Other Thoughts: As stated before, it has flaky performance when switching back to OSX unless you do a complete Shut Down, and boot up fresh. Simple "Restart in OSX" will not yield good results. Also, if you reboot your iPhone while in OSX, and want to plug it back in, then it might not get detected either, so you'll either have to shut down again, and restart, or unplug the hub completely and then plug it back in after about 15 seconds, and hope that everything works again.
