1 out of 5 eggsRipped off.

Pros: Modular?

Cons: The darn thing worked just long enough to power my brand new rig on. Then when I moved it to another room, it wouldn't post. Worst $100 ever spent, I thought surely the PSU wasn't to blame... I tried different RAM, peripherals, video, everything. Occasionally it would work fine, until I shut the darn thing down, chances are it would not come back up.

Other Thoughts: I feel I should at least be compensated or give a small discount on a GOOD power supply or something. I've worked with more reliable 6oz units in cheapo e-machines than this PSU... still irks me to think of this horrible investment, which apparently only had a month or so return policy. My RMA was not honored in any case.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsOK PSU

Pros: This thing looks awesome and hasn't given me any problems at all; have used it for about 10 months. Looks nice when friends take a look at my build.

Cons: I get the "clicking" noise occasionally - my mid-tower case has a top-mount for the PSU, and putting a heavy object like a big book on the back of the case makes it stop. Haven't heard the noise in a few months since I decided to leave an anthology of stories I needed for a college class and never read on my case. Finally, an use for those old textbooks!! Only docked one egg for this - a minor inconvenience at the worst.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: XFX is a brand I try to stick with when I build PC's. I have always had their video cards so I decided to give this PSU a try. It is modular so it leaves lots of extra room, especially if you are like me and only have the basics in the case. This leaves lots of extra space for cooling without all the useless wires in the case.

Cons: It was a tight fit in my case, however I got it to work. Be careful with small cases because it may give you some trouble.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is awesome as usual.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Power Supply

Pros: This thing is built like a tank. Very solid, and had no trouble installing. The packaging was impressive, and the modular cables come in their own little storage bag. Handles my Phenom II x4 and Radeon 6870 without trouble.

Cons: Not completely modular. While I used most of the cables that were attached, the one that I didn't annoys me.

Other Thoughts: Some other reviews mention a clicking noise, and after construction I heard it. Thankfully, it was just a cable rubbing up against a random fan.

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice case!

Pros: Very sleek looking with blue LEDs.

Not to small.

Single plugs for Sound , USB , Firewire instead of a bunch of little ones dangling.

Cons: No cable management.

Easily shows fingerprints.

Case fans arent that great.

Other Thoughts: Outside of the fans being under par its a very good case for the money.
