Traditional Multi-Rail PSUs might claim to have higher wattages, but it’s achieved by combining multiple smaller, lower wattage rails. Each smaller rail isn’t capable of running multiple high-power devices (GPUs, CPUs) because the individual wattage caps are simply too low. Designed specifically for the performance and value-conscious gamer, the XFX Core Edition PRO650W power supply boasts EasyRail Technology to provides true total wattage to the latest multi-core CPUs and multiple high-end graphics cards. When you expect 200W, EasyRail gives you 200W. One Rail, One Setup.

Supporting the latest ATX12V and EPS12V standards, it is also NVIDIA SLI certified for reliable multi-GPU PC setups. High quality Japanese brand capacitors (105°C) ensure high reliability and long life. 80 Plus Bronze certified, this PSU brings you an exceptional efficiency at up to 85%. Giving more than just life to your PC, the XFX Core Edition PRO650W power supply also features an ultra silent ball bearing fan for quiet and superior cooling, tight voltage regulation (±5%) and fully sleeved cables.

  • newegg 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified The 80 PLUS BRONZE certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 82% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg EasyRail for Maximum Power Unique, continuous EasyRail technology enables you to maximize available power and make set-up easy. 1 out of 5 eggsWorked good for a short time...

Pros: Quiet and peaceful while it worked.

Cons: Purchased from Newegg in Feb 2011 but didn't install until recently. Ran fine for a few hours in a computer that I seldom use. Turned it on last week, did all pending updates and shut it down. Everything was fine. Went to start it up this week and the computer only flickered on when I hit the power switch and immediately shut down. Temporarily connected a known good PSU and computer worked fine. Re-connected XFS PSU and got same results as before - when I hit the power switch the power on light flickers on then immediately off, fans start to move but don't complete hardly one revolution before stopping.

4 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

Pros: -Very quiet
-Steady power
-Made by Seasonic (from online reviews)

Cons: -First one I got was DOA. RMA'd (another online reseller) and quickly got another. Thought it was my MB first as the power LED on it would light up but the system itself would not turn on. It would appear to start but for only two-three seconds.
Took some time to figure out but did the paper clip test with the 24 pin connector and fan lead and again it would only spin for a few seconds and then die. I did a meter test after and confirmed there was nothing coming out of it.

Other Thoughts: -The marketing material and feel of the box must add a few bucks to this thing. Is it really necessary?
-The PSU itself is heavy, a lot heavier than my old 450W PSU if that counts for anything.
-Got my rebate in virtually no time (I was quite surprised by that) so with the rebate I guess I can say I got this thing for $60. It was a little more than that with taxes but it did ship free!.
Overall I'm very pleased so far with this unit.

4 out of 5 eggsGood power

Pros: Good clean power, 5 year warranty, silent, good cables lengths.

Cons: Have not received my $20 mail-in rebate that I mailed in a couple months ago. I am very unhappy with xfx and will not buy from them again.

Manufacturer Response:

As with most companies, rebates are not processed directly through us. They are processed by a rebate house which handles rebates for hundreds of companies. You can contact that rebate house by calling the telephone number on the bottom of the rebate form that you sent in. The telephone number for the rebate house used for our rebates at Newegg is 866-642-2275. Please call them and if you have any problems then contact our support team. Thank you.
