2 out of 5 eggsWorked great for a year. Up to support now.

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Excellent price

Has a nice look and feel to it.

Extremely quiet.

Solid performance the first year.

Cons: After 12 months of use, the computer started shutting down whenever intensive applications would run. I swapped out the RAM (didn't help), reinstalled Windows (didn't help), removed the GPU (didn't help), etc. Finally I swapped out the power supply, and the system has been completely stable.

Other Thoughts: So now it's time to find out how good their technical support is. My ticket has been open for 3 days without a response. If they can repair, replace, or refund in a timely manner, I will increase the number of eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The one I got is very quiet. From what I could find out about it, tier 2 rating. More than enough power for my i7 4770k, GTX 960, 16Gb ram, 250Gb Crucial MX200, 2Tb Hdd, optical drive (yes I still use one) and enough to upgrade to a GTX 970. I got my rebate.

Cons: All the wires, I knew that though.

Other Thoughts: I always get my rebate when I buy it from Newegg. I print a receipt from my Newegg account and one from my email account and staple both of them to the rebate form, then I use the super clear packing tape and tape the upc to it.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! We are happy you are pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply for the price

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This unit is used to power my first build. As a rookie, I found this to be a great unit for my needs. Plenty of connectors and it is working great!

Favorite aspect about this power supply is how quiet it is!!

Cons: Modular would be nice, but I knew it was not before I bought it. No real cons for me.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this unit again

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, high-quality PSU

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Still chugging along more than 2 years later. Seasonic made. 550W is enough for nearly any single-GPU system today. 6-pin and 6+2 pin PCI-Express connectors.

Cons: Non-modular and not the prettiest cables, but hard to complain for the price.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended.

3 out of 5 eggsDOES NOT HONOR REBATES BEWARE

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Card + PSU worked fine.

Cons: The XFX company despite acknowledging they received my paperwork, did not honor the rebate. Opened a dispute with CC as this was 50 bucks worth. I'm sure XFX will respond to this review with B-S. Others please report XFX if you experience this, they are slime.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Mark,

We're sorry for the confusion. The Newegg Rebate processing company is 4myrebate.com. If you had trouble getting your rebate approved, please forward me the rebate tracking # at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com and I will request a manual override. Thank you

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely Loud

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Provides clean power, easily can power my i5-4590 / GTX 970. Pretty good price: would have been the best deal around if it wasn't for the problem I'm having with it.

Cons: Really really loud. When I'm playing any game every fan in my computer is silent but this one is nearly unbearable. It also has an intermittent annoying ringing noise. If it wasn't non-modular and didn't take forever to get the cable management set up I would have already pulled it off and either tried fixing it or returning it.

Pros: This PSU is great! Able to handle a GTX 970, 3 SSD's and 2 HDD's! People say the power supply is loud, but its not. This is the most quite fan I have ever heard!

Cons: None at all!

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This PSU is a rebrand of a SeaSonic unit, and we all know how great those are. It's relatively inexpensive especially when you use the MIR. It definitely beats out any Corsair unit that's in this price range: the CX and CS series. It has an 80+ rating so that's definitely a plus. Overall very happy with the unit.

Cons: This unit is not modular.

Other Thoughts: This replaced my CS450M
